⭐️ STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Kim Barton, Office Manager Westborough ⭐️

To know Kim is to love her! Meet the glue that holds the Westborough office together..

🏡 Kim was born in Framingham, MA. She grew up in Westborough where she built a life with her husband of over 40 years (they currently live there today)
🗓️ Kim joined the CMPT team two years ago and is the office manager for our Westborough location(s)
👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 As mentioned earlier, Kim has been married over 40 years to her wonderful husband. Together they have two adult sons, a daughter in law and two grand cats
🏫 Before joining CMPT, Kim was a school secretary for 22 years. She enjoys working in administrative assistant positions in order to be able to help others
📚 When not working Kim enjoys reading, watching movies, walking in the woods and traveling with her husband
🚐 In the future, Kim looks forward to camping in the family RV and exploring new areas all over New England
🍰 Favorite food is cake!
🏍️ FUN FACT: Kim admittedly had a mid life crisis at 35 which caused her to go out and get her motorcycle license AND buy a motorcycle

📣🔹 This week marks the beginning of Elizabeth’s last week here at CMPT! If you see her around the clinic, make sure to get your hugs in and wish her well as she heads off to DPT school in Boston next month.

📣🔹 Patients will be in amazing hands with Maddy Kelly who has been taking over all of Elizabeth’s classes and personal training sessions over the last few weeks. Maddy is a graduate of Lesley University where she was an NCAA soccer athlete. She is a certified NASM personal trainer and we couldn’t be happier to have her on our team! Stay tuned for fun stuff about Maddy to come 👀🌟

Effective June 2024 we will now close at 7:00 pm Monday-Thursday and at 4:30 pm on Fridays. These hours will now match our Westborough and Lancaster office hours.

🏡 Carly was born and raised in Saratoga Springs, New York before moving to Lake Placid when she was in high school. She currently lives in Natick, MA
👩🏼‍🎓 Carly received her bachelors degree in science from Emmanuel College and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from MCPHS University in Worcester
📍 Carly is a full time PT who travels between BOTH Westborough office locations
🍕 Her favorite food is PIZZA
⛸️ When not treating patients, Carly is both a competitive figure skater and a figure skating coach
❄️ FUN FACT: Carly’s hometown of Lake Placid has hosted not one but TWO Winter Olympics

Join us this upcoming SATURDAY JUNE 1st for the sixth annual Unified 5k and Expo.

This event is one of the most diverse road races in New England where athletes of ALL abilities will walk, run, roll, or row the one mile or 5k distance

🚴🏾‍♂️ It’s an official Team Hoyt New England and Achilles International Race which will include wheelchair duos, handcycles, push-rim wheelchairs, amputees, and more competing

⚽️🍿 This event also includes an adaptive sports and fitness expo on-site right after the race with amputee soccer, beep baseball, and adaptive rowing clinics, as well as an athlete’s village with vendors and food.

⭐️ STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Connor McLaughlin, Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Vestibular Rehabilitation and Concussion Specialist ⭐️ and soon to be…. DAD!

Please join me in spotlighting and also congratulating Connor McLaughlin (baby McLaughlin coming October 2024) 👶🏼💙🧸🍼

🎓 Connor received his doctorate of Physical Therapy from MCPHS in Worcester, MA. In addition, he received his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Endicott College
⚾️ During his time at Endicott, Connor was co captain of the baseball team where he played for four years
🧠 He is certified by the American Institute of Balance in Vestibular and Concussion Rehabilitation
📍Connor is the head of our Lancaster location where he treats full time
🏡 Connor lives in Sterling with his beautiful wife Ali and beloved dog Wally (pictured!)
🎣 If he’s not working you’ll catch Connor outdoors whether he’s kayaking, fishing, skiing or doing yard work
🕯️ In the last few years Connor has kept busy with various hobbies including candle making, carpentry and even brewing his own beer
🦞 His favorite food is fresh New England seafood (although he’d NEVER turn down a chicken nugget)
🏈 Connor is an avid New England sports fan
🕺🏿 FUN FACT: Connor was once voted “best dancer” on the Endicott Baseball team!🕺🏿

CMPT is EXTREMELY lucky to have Connor McLaughlin. While we miss him in the gym over in West Boylston it is so great to see how wonderful Lancaster is doing. We appreciate you, Connor, and we are so excited for you and everything that is to come!

⭐️ STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Elizabeth Gallary ⭐️

If you’ve been to CMPT West Boylston in the last year or so, chances are you’ve been lucky enough to meet Elizabeth!

You can usually find her around the gym or down in The Annex teaching fitness classes or guiding and assisting patients through exercise.

Here’s some more facts about Elizabeth…

🏋🏼‍♀️ She is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine
🎓 Elizabeth holds a bachelors degree in psychology and public health from William and Mary College (2019)
🏃🏼‍♀️When not working, Elizabeth enjoys running, hiking, strength training and reading
🏡 Elizabeth lives in Stoneham, MA with her boyfriend James and her favorite food is sushi
🤩 Fun fact: Elizabeth has bumped into baseball pro Jason Varitek, Patrick Dempsey AND Reese Witherspoon while out to eat!
☘️ In addition, Elizabeth was an Irish step dancer for over TEN years where she competed nationally across the U.S and in Dublin, Ireland
👩🏻‍⚕️ Come July, Elizabeth will attend North Eastern University in Boston where she will be studying to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy

⭐️ STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Michael (Mike) Curnen, MSPT, CSCS, Vestibular rehab & Concussion specialist ⭐️

If you’ve been to CMPT, chances are you’re lucky enough to know Mike Curnen!

🔹 Mike is a crucial asset to CMPT as he is an OG employee (he has been practicing outpatient physical therapy over 22 years!)
🏫 Mike received his master of science in physical therapy from Simmons College in 1999 and holds a bachelors degree from the College of the Holy Cross
🍣 Mike’s favorite food is QUALITY sushi
🚴🏼 Mike is an avid cyclist and weightlifter. He is a strong proponent of functional exercise, manual PT and a healthy lifestyle
🧠 Mike is a certified graston technique specialist as well as a vestibular/concussion PT specialist
🧼 FUN FACT: Mike physically cannot walk by a sink containing dirty dishes without the urge to clean them up …immediately
🏆 Mike was the recipient of 2020’s best in central mass (Physical Therapist)
👨‍👩‍👧 Mike resides in Auburn, MA with his beautiful wife and daughter.

⭐️ STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Amanda Gauvin-Valenta PT, DPT ⭐️

It’s my pleasure to introduce Amanda! Amanda started at CMPT a little over a year ago and has been the perfect addition since day one.

🥍 Amanda is an avid lacrosse player who played all four years of college and continues to play in adult leagues today
🎓 Amanda attended Franklin Pierce University and graduated with a degree in biology before attending MCPHS where she received her doctorate of PT in 2018
🏃🏼‍♀️ Since graduating, Amanda has worked mainly in outpatient orthopedic settings but enjoys and embraces treating a variety of patients and injuries
🧠 Amanda is graston certified and values creating a personalized and well rounded approach to therapy and rehabilitation
🌮 Amanda’s favorite food is tacos (YUM)
🐶 When not treating, you can find Amanda reading the latest mystery, traveling, hiking or spending quality time with her wife and precious fur baby, Hudson
🎬 FUN FACT: Amanda is a movie buff and can quote pretty much any movie you can think of. Next time you see her in the clinic, don’t be shy to test her out 🤩

⭐️ STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Brian Crowe, PT, DPT ⭐️

Our first staff spotlight is CMPT’s Brian Crowe. If you’ve been to CMPT, chances are you’ve had a laugh with Brian!

📍 Brian graduated with a doctorate in physical therapy from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. He began his physical therapy career in 2001 and has worked in various areas since then such as pediatrics, rehabilitation, gymnastics, outpatient orthopedics and more. Brian has been at CMPT for over 8 years now and resides in Worcester with his wife.

🏍️ When not treating, you’ll probably catch Bri working out around the gym or riding outside on his motorcycle
👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 He also enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends; especially his wife and grandchildren
🥡 Bri’s favorite food is quality Chinese, emphasis on the word “quality”
⁉️ FUN FACT: Brian once played the tail end of a dragon in a live Chinese new year lion dance!

Great day yesterday at the Dads and Grads 5k Fun run! Thank you for having us !

Thank you Brendan Alyward for letting CMPT participate at the Unified 5K. Special special shout out to our own Madeline Reinach who amazed us all by completing the 5K with the rest of our heroes on wheels. CMPT is very grateful for allowing us to participate in this amazing event!!!

We could not be prouder of our own Mark Howard! You put in the work now enjoy your epic accomplishment!!! Congratulations to all that ran the Boston Marathon. We hope that you achieved your goals, heck even training for it is quite an accomplishment!!! Family, friends and fans, you are pretty awesome too!!!
