In honor of National Pharmacy Week, Trustbridge Hospice Care celebrates the dedicated professionals who make a difference in the lives of our patients and families every day. At Trustbridge, we are proud to have our own pharmacy and medical equipment divisions, enabling us to respond promptly to any need that arises. We deliver all medications and equipment related to the hospice diagnosis directly to the bedside, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of comfort and care.

As the first hospice program in Florida to establish its own pharmacy, we understand the vital role that medication expertise plays in symptom management. We provide all medications related to the hospice diagnosis, so our patients and families can focus on what matters most—spending quality time together.

Yesterday, Trustbridge was deeply honored at the Positively Pink Event to receive the inaugural Founders' Legacy Award for our dedicated care to the community and, most notably, to the late Renee Quinn. Renee was a beloved organizer of this event and one of our founding Broward Advisory Board Members.

We are grateful to Angela and Lisa from our Admissions Team, who played a crucial role in fulfilling Renee’s final wish to return home from the hospital. Though she was in our care only briefly, it meant everything to her and her loved ones, who expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the compassion she received.

This award is a tribute to Renee’s legacy and the care she championed for others. It will be proudly displayed in the Broward lobby as a reminder of her enduring impact.

Today, we honor Dr. Faustino Gonzalez, affectionately known as Dr. G, for his remarkable 25 years of compassionate service to the patients of Trustbridge Hospice Care. Inspired at the young age of 16 by the life-saving skills of ER doctors who treated his brother, Dr. G's journey in medicine began with a profound commitment to empathy and patient care.

Throughout his career, Dr. G has been a beacon of dedication, excellence, and compassion in palliative care. His leadership and commitment to our patients and their families have profoundly shaped our organization and the broader hospice community. Dr. G’s approach to care emphasizes not only medical excellence but also the importance of taking the time to educate, validate, and comfort patients and their families during their most vulnerable moments.

Dr. G has also been an integral part of the educational activities at Trustbridge, consistently offering lectures and mentoring opportunities to medical students, residents, social workers, chaplains, nurses, and pharmacy students. His pivotal role in the success of the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program ensures that our dedication to compassionate care is deeply ingrained in every facet of our service.

On behalf of Trustbridge, we extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Gonzalez for his unparalleled contributions. His legacy of empathy, dedication, and excellence will continue to inspire us as we strive to uphold the values and principles he championed.
