In continuation of Health Care Quality Week, Care Initiatives recognizes the hard work of Jeannette Forrest, Director of Hospice Quality Assurance at Care Initiatives Hospice - Des Moines .
Jeannette is a health care professional with over 24 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor’s in Nursing and a Master’s in Nursing Informatics. Jeannette has held various roles at Care Initiatives since 2009. After a brief return to California to care for her elderly parent, she resumed her position in Iowa at Care Initiatives.
Jeannette emphasizes the importance of quality care: “Quality means providing the best possible care for our patients and caregivers.” Her team focuses on improving hospice care through training and monitoring quality indicators. She believes teamwork is crucial for maintaining high-quality standards, stating that mutual support among team members is essential for patient care.
