The future of class discussions. Parlay is a tool for teachers to facilitate class discussions.
It puts your students and their unique perspectives at the heart of learning, and gives you the data that you need to help them grow. Our goal is simple - help students learn to think and communicate through meaningful discussions. At Parlay, we make software tools that help teachers inspire class discussions inside the classroom and in an online setting. Parlay discussions encourage constructive

🧵Over the past 8 years, we’ve been building this platform with the goal to provide the best experience for class discussions.
As we listened and learned from many incredible educators, a question kept coming up...
Could we run entirely discussion-based courses on Parlay?
As teachers used Parlay online during covid, we got a glimpse of how we might facilitate learning experiences entirely on Parlay.
So... we built Parlay Seminars! Discussion-based mini courses where where teens read a classic text & develop skills to thrive in the world.
Each week, students read a section of the text, write their initial ideas, get feedback from their peers in a Written RoundTable & participate in one Verbal RoundTable.
For teens, we’re offering 8 courses this summer & Fall.
Each one is centered around a classic text (1984, Frankenstein, The Great Gatsby etc.) or a current event (the upcoming election!)
For educators, we're offering the opportunity to experience a Parlay Seminar as a student. Through weekly discussions, you will explore the Parlay methodology more deeply over 5 weeks with other Parlay educators!

We just released 4 new A.I. features inside of Parlay! Look for the Genie lamp to try them out for yourself! 🧞
✏️ Student Feedback - Students instantly receive an analysis of their submissions highlighting strengths and areas for improvement, based on the teacher's criteria. This will be based on the teacher's criteria and allows students to refine their ideas before sharing them in the Written RoundTable.
🔄 Genie Recap - It summarizes all submissions in the discussion, emphasizing main themes, shared views, and differing perspectives. This is ideal for reviewing key concepts in future classes or catching up absent students.
🗣️ Create Follow-Up Questions within the same Written RoundTable. Teachers can now extend the discussion among students who finish early or are ready for a challenge, deepening engagement without starting a new RoundTable.
🖊️ Draft Feedback on Student Participation! The Genie will suggest personalized feedback for the teacher to use, based on all of the student's participation in the discussion and tailored to the teacher's criteria.
Check them out!
