7/2/24 Update

The forecast is showing a lot of rain the next two days. If this is the case, it might be too muddy in the field and we would have to push back the opening a couple of days. We will update here if anything changes.

If you visited the field last year, the crop this year can be found 1/2 mile down the road. The 2024 Sunflower Field can by found by typing the following address in google maps:

14465 W Pawnee St
​Wichita, KS 67227

The field will be marked with a sign and free parking is available next to the field. Please DO NOT park on the road and NO TRESPASSING outside of posted hours. Looking forward to seeing all of you!

2024 Field Update!!

The sunflowers are starting to perk up and the first day we will be open to visitors will be July 5, 2024. We will be open nightly from 6-Dusk until the sunflowers are done blooming.

As we did last year, we will not be charging a set entrance fee or photographer fee, but instead would kindly ask for a monetary donation to help cover the cost of the seeds and labor involved. There will be a cash donation box on site or you may use Venmo to donate.

We will update the exact location as the date gets closer. Looking forward to seeing ya'll again!

This will be the last week of blooms here at LBR Family Farm! If you have been wanting to come check out the field, this week is it. We've had a great week of visitors already. Thank you for the donations and respecting the field, so that we can do this again next year.

The sunflowers will be blooming for about the next 14 days depending on weather. We have a smaller patch this year of 8 acres. The field is located at the corner of 151st St West and 23rd St. South. !!FIELD UPDATE!!

Unfortunately, due to the extreme heat this week, the sunflowers have started drooping quicker than anticipated. We will be open tomorrow night (7/28) and Friday (7/29), weather permitting. Friday might be the last night.

There’s still plenty of perky sunflowers in several parts of the field for the next couple of nights. Thanks for understanding and we are glad to see some cooler weather for the last few days.

The field is blooming this morning and we are going to be open starting this evening. Come see us from 6-9PM tonight and cut some gorgeous blooms to take home or snap some photos in the field!
