LaRon is an intern currently enrolled at Colorado Christian University, working on her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
LaRon desires to help individuals and families find hope, healing, and strength as they navigate life's challenges. She hopes to create an atmosphere that is safe, comfortable, collaborative, and tailored to each individual or family's needs. Change doesn't happen overnight, but each small step can make a big impact over time. She would love to walk alongside and support you as you embark on this journey
In addition to being a full-time student, LaRon is an active volunteer in her church. She is a wife and mother of four and spends her free time going on adventures with her family, gardening, spending time at the lake, and hanging out with her giant Golden Pyrenees, Piper.

Emily is an Intern at Heritage Family Counseling Services; she is pursuing her masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Liberty University’s online program. Following completion of her program, she will pursue becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She has an undergraduate bachelor's degree in Psychology from Auburn University.
Emily is passionate about helping individuals find the strength within them to navigate a variety of life circumstances. She believes that every person has the right to be heard and understood. She strives to make every person see the value that is within them and treat every person with the love, kindness, and grace that Jesus shows to us. She is looking forward to working with a variety of populations and individuals as she continues her learning process as a counselor.
Outside of her professional life, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband, family & friends, and her golden-doodle named Bro. She loves to travel and explore many new experiences. She also has a highly creative side which has led her to start up her own photography business! You can find her playing pickle ball, cooking, or spending time with her Young Life girls.
Emily is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and is trained as a SYMBIS Facilitator (a Christian Marriage Counseling Program designed to build strong and lasting marriages).

Amber is a Michigan native with a Master's degree in Social Work from Wichita State University. She integrates a faith-based approach while providing a supportive and empathetic environment for clients to explore barriers in life and work towards meaningful solutions.
Amber assists couples in strengthening their relationship by improving communication, guidance in resolving conflicts, and support while navigating parenthood or adjustments to changes in life. While personalizing goals to encourage and build resilience, Amber seeks to give hope and empower clients to achieve their goals and overcome personal struggles.
Specializing in ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), Amber helps clients heal from past traumas allowing them to experience a more full life of positive thoughts and emotions. Her trauma-informed and faith-based approach ensures clients feel supported and understood throughout their healing journey.

We are thrilled to let you know that Tiffany Kelderhouse, LCPC, is part of the Heritage Family!
Tiffany works with children, adolescents and young adults, and strives to empower her clients to create lasting bonds and create solutions to improve everyday living in their home and school environments. She has worked extensively in the foster care system with biological and foster parents, addressing behavioral issues, family of origin issues and family bonding/attachment. She enjoys both in-school and in-office sessions and working with the entire family to meet the individual needs.
Tiffany has studied child and adolescent therapy as well as integrating play therapy into her practice. She understands that each client processes and copes differently and looks to find ways to connect and meet needs on a level appropriate to the individual.
In her office, she utilizes a variety of modalities including sand tray therapy and play therapy. She will refer for psychological testing and medication management to assist in meeting clients needs.

Welcome to our Heritage Team, Brennen Smith, LMFT!
Brennen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who earned his Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University. He received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Wichita State University.
Brennen views therapy as a way of helping others restore joy in their lives. He has a passion for helping individuals with anxiety, depression, and anger. He is also excited to work with couples to build strong marriages and relationships. While Brennen has worked with people with many different backgrounds and mental health struggles, he has also developed experience in working with people with autism and dissociative experiences.
Brennen is trained in Sand Tray Therapy, Prepare/Enrich (a marital or pre-marital program to build strong marriages), Internal Family Systems Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Brennen enjoys time with his wife and family and enjoys reading, jogging, playing guitar, going to local concerts and playing catch with his crazy goldendoodle.

Mikaela is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wichita State University, as well as a Bachelors Degree in Human Development and Family Science from Kansas State University. Mikaela has about two years of experience in working with teenagers and adults in therapeutic settings, interning at the Wise Clinic and HopeNet.
Mikaela seeks to walk alongside each client, meeting them where they are at, and empowering and challenging them to move towards healing, growth, hope, and awareness. She believes her role as a counselor is to create a collaborative safe space for clients to navigate through what may feel like messy, vulnerable, and painful parts of life. Mikaela works with individuals ages 16 and up.
Joining Mikaela is her GoldenDoodle therapy dog in training, Blue Jean. His sweet and loving personality are sure to brighten your day.
Her areas of interest are: foster care/adoption, trauma, grief, spirituality, identity, times of transition, shame, anxiety, and depression.
Outside of her professional life, Mikaela enjoys traveling, making Spotify playlists for her friends, journaling, antique shopping, and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Please welcome Paul Williams, LPC, to the Heritage Team!
Paul is a licensed professional counselor who earned his master’s degree in clinical counseling from Wichita State University. Paul is a life-long learner who also holds four other college degrees. He earned an MBA from Friends University and from Wichita State he earned three bachelor’s degrees including a BA in Psychology, a BS in Electrical Engineering, and a BGS in Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Paul has been a helper of people much of his adult life. For 10 years he worked with incarcerated youth as a volunteer at the Sedgwick County Juvenile Facility and mentored at-risk boys through Youth Horizons, a 30-year non-profit in Wichita. Paul is also a founder and an active member of River Community Church where for several years he was the young adult group leader.
Having suffered numerous hardships in life, Paul can relate to hurting people. He has a heart to help people who are dealing with some of life’s challenges including depression, anxiety & stress, anger management, relational conflict, behavioral concerns, parenting, loss & grief, faith & spiritual confusion, and self-esteem.
In his free time, Paul enjoys pickle ball, swimming, and spending time with family and friends, which includes his 14-year companion Layla, a Cockamo (Cocker Spaniel/American Eskimo mix).

Cheryl Tan, APRN, is a compassionate medical professional and a leading expert in her field. She has over 16 years of experience as a nurse practitioner and she is double board certified. She earned her Master of Science in Family Health Nursing from Wichita State University and later obtained her Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Washburn University. She is board certified by AANP and ANCC. She is extremely knowledgeable about medication evaluation and management, ensuring that every patient is on the proper medication.
Cheryl Tan treats a variety of diagnoses including Major Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, ADHD, Binge eating disorder, and insomnia. She can also help with patients struggling with their weight and desiring weight loss. She works with patients 7 years and up and she sees patients in person and virtually. She accepts most types of commercial insurance, as well as Medicare and Medicaid.
