We have Show-N-Tell every Friday!! Show-N-Tell helps children build confidence and feel comfortable speaking in front of their peers! It helps develop their vocabulary and encourages them to use descriptive words! It helps bridge the gap between home and school and shares their individual interests! It shows they can learn new things from their peers! It helps active listening and practices taking turns! We LOVE Show-N-Tell!! ❤️

There are so many benefits to playing with playdough and we use it often!!

Today we are talking about expectations during free play time! We are practicing using toys and leaving them in their area so other friends know where to find them and everyone gets a turn! We are practicing using our nice words with friends when we want something! We are practicing using nice hands with our toys so we have nice things to play with! We take pride and responsibility in our school and all clean up as a group at the end of play time! The kids are practicing using nice hands with our books then putting them back on the shelf in the library!

We keep broken crayons at the art table! Broken crayons encourage kids to hold them with their fingers instead of their whole hand and help with grasp development! Broken crayons are shorter and require children to exert more pressure while coloring which helps build strength in the small muscles of the hands! Broken crayons also require greater hand eye coordination! Today we are using fine motor skills to peel the paper off the crayons that will be used at the art table! 🖍
