Join us THIS SATURDAY for the 3rd annual Rock The Block! This is our youth-led community voter engagement party. There will be free food and performances! Don't miss out!
SoCe neighbors, just a quick reminder that the Ice Cream Social with The Lincoln Park Project is this Saturday from 11-1! We'd also love for folks to come out for the neighborhood walk and trash pickup beforehand! Click the post below for more details. See ya'll then!
Just a quick reminder that our Ice Cream Social is this Saturday from 11-1 at Lincoln Park!
As an optional activity beforehand, we’ll meet up at the park (1323 S Topeka St) at 10am for a neighborhood walk and trash pickup. Then, we’ll loop around and ensure we end up back at the park by 11am, where we can join in the ice cream social! What better way to reward ourselves for a little bit of work than with a sweet treat?
The social will feature ice cream, games, and a space for neighbors to connect. The Wichita Library Bus will be there - plus maybe even an appearance from a certain internet sensation. We’ll say no more, but this is an event you won’t want to miss! Trash bags and water will be provided, so just bring gloves and yourself to Lincoln Park at 10am, or simply come for the social at 11am, and we’ll look forward to seeing you there!
🍨👋🏼 Very excited for next Saturday!

"What we want to do at The Neighboring Movement is point out that every single person has something to offer, and there is this amazing beauty when somebody realizes that they have a gift and they are able to use it and they are appreciated for it.
They come alive and they experience wholeness as an individual." -Adam Barlow-Thompson, Executive Director TNM

Our Story
NeighboringMovement.org by SoCe Life is a nonprofit in the South Central neighborhood of Wichita, KS. SoCe is rebranding a neighborhood traditionally known for its negative characteristics by mobilizing the abundance that already exists within the neighborhood. We are cultivating capacity in neighbors to produce their own well being through the practices of Asset Based Community Development. We do this work in our neighborhood, in the church, and as a larger movement. Find how you can participate at neighboringmovement.org.
