What an incredible night to celebrate art and artists! It was standing room only last night at our Members' Preview Reception and Awards Ceremony for our 2024 Regional Juried Show, which opens today at 11 am!

Congratulations to all those artists who were invited to participate, and especially to those who won awards. A great big thanks to Doug Mock, esteemed artist and RAL Art Center Board President, for being our judge.

Renowned local artist and RAL Art Center Board President Doug Mock poses with Karen Schwartz, our Director of Special Exhibits after he walked through the upcoming exhibit determining which ones will receive awards at Tuesday night's opening reception.

People's Choice Award for Painting goes to Sallie Brooks for her hysterical "Cluck" creation.

People's Choice Award for Photography goes to Sherrie Payne for her incredible "Strike a Pose" photo.

While our Co-Op Show is going on in the Main and Middle Galleries, our always-popular "From Camera to Brush and Beyond" exhibit is going on in the Fireside Gallery.

This show is always exciting because you get to see the many inventive ways in which the artists choose to interpret the photographers' pictures.

Come in and decide for yourself which ones are your favorites. There is a People's Choice Award for the favorite painting and the favorite photograph.

This show ends on Friday, September 6.

What an absolutely incredible night we had last night at our Members' Preview and Reception for our 2nd Members' Co-Op Show and Camera to Brush and Beyond exhibit! Everyone enjoyed meeting the artists, seeing their works, and even purchasing many of them! We are elated that everyone had such a great time!

Some of our artists dropped by the Art Center to select a photograph to interpret for our always popular Camera to Brush exhibit, which opens on Wednesday, July 24.

In the meantime, our Members' Photography Show, as well as our Fireside Gallery Myths & Legends Exhibit, open this coming Wednesday at 11 am.

It was standing room only last night, as we held our Members Preview and Awards Reception for our Annual Members Show. Steve Prince, Director of Engagement & Distinguished Artist In Residence, Muscarelle Museum of Art, served as our judge.

The Top Three Awards were won by James Warwick Jones, Holland Wentz Etheridge, and Moonjoo Lee.

The following artists all received Honorable Mentions and Special Merit Awards: Shirley Roby, Karen Thuermer, Marilyn Howard Flinn, Carlton Abbott, Liz Bahl-Moore, William Hoffman, Carol Anne McErlean, Dianna Woolley, Traute Leemann, Pat Gamby, Nancy Lenz Harvey, and Charles Dubois.

We hope you will come out and see all of these works, as well as the other amazing pieces in the show!

Tomorrow, Friday, April 5, is the final day for our 1st Members' Co-Op Show. The show closes at 3 pm, so if there is something you saw that you want to purchase, you have until 3 pm tomorrow.

Once the show closes, we will shut down for a week while we install and prepare for our 2024 Annual Members' Show.
