Have you ever wondered what the doctor is really talking about when they say that a pet has bladder stones? They aren't REALLY stones, right??
Well check this out! This was a patient who presented to us with bloody urine and upon taking X-rays was found to have FOUR very large bladder stones! Surgery was preformed to remove them and the second picture is what the stones looked like outside of the bladder. They looks like actual stones that you might find in a river! Crazy, right?? 🩺🪨

A few more smiling faces for your Wednesday; and we're not talking about our staff members!😁 We think ChiChi, Ace, Karma Ann and Lexie might have been as happy to see us as we were to see them! 😍🐱🐶🐶🐶

We've got another exciting announcement about 2 of our staff members! Assistants Amelia and Cailynn were accepted in to Tidewater Community College's Veterinary Assistant Certification Program over the summer and they start classes next week! The program has a very limited number of slots and they are very selective about who they admit to the program; so we could not be prouder of these two for both making the cut! They are going to learn and grow so much this year!🩷🩺💉🐾

Today we are wishing happy birthday to one of our Licensed Veterinary Technicians, Jennifer; as well as our Pharmacy Manager, Nicole!

On Thursday she took the Veterinary Technician National Examination and PASSED and last night she officially graduated from Tidewater Community College’s Veterinary Technician Program! 🎉 That means we now have another Licensed Veterinary Technician at CVC!🩵🩶
Leslie: your Colonial Vet family is so proud of you for this great accomplishment and we are very excited to continue to watch you grow your knowledge, now as Leslie, LVT!🩺🐾

Apparently today is National Relaxation Day! We hope that everyone gets a chance to relax with their furry, scaly or feathery friends today! Take a load off and give them a good snuggle for us!🥰

CVC is looking for donations of old newspapers! We use them to line our kennels for hospitalized pets and we are running dangerously low!
If you have any newspaper that you can spare sitting around taking up space at home, we would love to take it off your hands! Just drop by the clinic and leave it with our front desk staff!
