Elite Contracting Solutions was established in January 2009.

The company is owned and operated by Mike Akers who provides over 33 years experience and knowledge in all aspects of the HVAC repair and service industry. ECSi was an acquisition of Airflow Mechanical based in Wilmington, NC, and Athens Heating and Air Ltd. based in Charlotte, NC, each owned independently by both Mike Akers and former co-owner Todd Kiser.

These two companies were combined to provide better service to all our customers throughout the Carolina’s. Our purpose is to provide our customers with the highest quality products, installation, and service available in our industry.

Valuable Services That We Provide

Elite Contracting Solutions is active in Commercial and Residential construction products. It is fully bonded and licensed with an H-2 and H-3 NC Mechanical license and PK5 Unlimited SC Mechanical license. It has an integrated design and build capability with engineering seals if required.

Our design expertise includes all phases of commercial and residential heating and air conditioning including the following: Zone Controls, Air Filtration, Kitchen Hoods, Ventilation, Humidification, Heat Pumps, Fossil Fuel furnaces, and Infra-red heating to name a few. ECSi has a strong relationship with the Carrier and Trane Corporation but has the ability to design and install systems using other manufacturers, products and accessories. We perform work throughout the Carolina’s but will travel further depending on the job. We have an adequate number of install and service employees living throughout the Carolina’s to provide our customers with prompt and reliable service.

ECSi maintains a reliable and professional fleet of service vehicles for both Commercial AC Installation and Residential Heating and Air repair services. All our vans are fully stocked with common repair parts and operated by a factory trained Service Technician. We offer 24 hr. emergency service, 365 days a year, and when you call you will always talk to a live person, not an automated system.

Our location is at 123 Market St. in Wilmington, New Hanover County, NC. Facilities consist of a modern office with integrated computer capability, warehouse, on-site and off-site sheet metal fabrication, repair and maintenance facility, and a design and engineering center. Our outside superintendents and sales personnel are readily accessible through cell phones.
