Yup, we boil our bagels first! Since 2012, we have used this traditional method to make our bagels. While this small-batch approach is much more labor intensive than the alternative - steam baking - we believe that it is well worth it as it produces an authentic New York-style bagel. Over the last 12 years, this has garnered us numerous "Best Of" awards as voted by Star News readers, WWAY -TV viewers, and Encore readers. (Who remembers that mag?) Ask your bagel baker if they boil their bagels first.

We love that Spring is just around the corner, but sad that our repeat special, the Wintertide, will soon be ending. This comforting sammy is filled with crispy pork belly topped with our home-made secret sauce, frittata-style eggs with peppers and onions, salty fried cheddar, and finally, fresh baby spinach to brighten the sandwich up. 'Teacher of the Month' makes math fun for middle school students - WWAYTV3 Students in the Cape Fear area have returned to school after their holiday break, but the spirit of giving continues. Christen Jones, a math teacher at South Brunswick Middle School, was named WWAY Teacher of the Month for January.

National Bagel Day 2024 falls on January 15, which coincidentally aligns with Martin Luther King Jr. Day. It’s a delightful convergence of two occasions—one celebrating the iconic civil rights leader and the other honoring the beloved bagel.
