Summer Enrichment at Brunson is coming to an end today. We finished the week with our Summer Share Event on Wednesday and Italian Ice today! It has been an amazing five weeks of exploration!

The K-1 classes at Summer Enrichment have done all sorts of activities in just two days, including millipede races, bubbles, learning about and celebrating Juneteenth, shark books, and measuring shadows! Whew!

This last quarter of school our bobcats had a variety of field trips! Our 5th graders went to Camp Hanes overnight to explore NC ecosystems, our 3rd graders visited Millis Health Center in High Point to learn about the skeletal system, Mrs. Connor's class went to the Dash education day to observe the routines of a baseball game, 1st grade traveled to the Greensboro Science Center to see a variety of animals and to explore the night sky, and our 4th graders went to the NC Zoo to understand the effects of environmental changes on animals!

Meet the Brunson Bobcats! Ms. Lease is a newbie this year to our school but not to the world of teaching. When she's not guiding 2nd graders to greatness, she is hiking, running, hanging out with her dog, and baking!

Along with field day this week, our bobcats participated in grade level talent shows! We had singing, dancing, gymnastics, martial arts, pitching, a DJ, instruments, artwork, and acting!

Meet the Brunson Bobcats! Mrs. Woods has been at Brunson two years. She currently teaches special education. She loves writing, singing, dancing, and speaking engagements. Today, we celebrated Mrs. Woods and World Lupus Day by wearing purple. Mrs. Woods lives with the disease daily and is an advocate for all of those struggling with chronic conditions. 💜

Our 1st and 2nd graders rocked "BUGZ" this morning! A huge shoutout to Ms. Ginn and Mrs. Sanders for all of their hard work to make this musical possible!

A huge shoutout to Cagneys Kitchen off Cloverdale Ave for this SUPER breakfast as we kick off Teacher Appreciation Week!

Today, 4th graders made "rocks" out of candy. The rocks started as sedimentary as the students pushed the candy together and morphed to metamorphic with the heat of their breath and the pressure of their hands.
