Sadly, Synergy Psych has ceased operations and is transitioning towards an official closure. The journey has been one of learning, challenge, frustration, bewilderment, and personal growth. I have no regrets for having tried to do something different, and I know that patients were well-served by our team. We are grateful for the efforts by Megan Trawick, PA-C, Deb Byrd, Warren Pendergast, and Christopher Lord and all those who referred and supported us. We will continue to champion the nature of recovery-friendly and collaborative psychiatry.

Synergy Psych Our priority is to actively coordinate with current patients to ensure a smooth and seamless transition to another provider.

Synergy is hosting a welcome and Q&A event next Friday at our office from 10-11am and 12-1pm! This event is open to other providers, clinicians, and the public who would like to learn more about Synergy Psych and to meet with our provider, Megan Trawick.

It is said that this is the only writing hanging on Mother Teresa’s wall in her small office when she died. Our program of recovery carries within it several firm and unyielding mandates. To achieve quality recovery and to move you towards your True Best Self they have to be among the principled codes you live by. One of these is a persistent, uncompromising, and inescapable demand that we “Do the next right thing.” It doesn’t tell us to do right when we think we can, when we think it's OK with others to do so, when others allow us to, or when we think we may be appreciated by others when we do. It just says that in all matters that we do the next right thing totally unconcerned with what others may do or say. And why? Because this instructive reading reminds us that in the final analysis there are only two judges of character that matter anyway…and you’re one of them.

Never too late....

There's nothing like a house full of family to expose anxiety, unresolved resentment, untreated trauma, and/or abandonment issues ~ and heavy doses of starch, sugar and (for some) too much alcohol. Therapy is probably the best first step, but for those who recognize the need for a medical approach or wonder if it's time for a professional evaluation, Synergy Psych has availability within 7 days.

GenSight offers Synergy patients an opportunity to better understand how metabolism and genetics influence what meds are most/least effective. This is just one of the important services Synergy seeks to provide for our patients.

Synergy Psych offers prompt and responsive availability and a strong commitment to COLLABORATION with other providers and is now in-network with CBHA. We are honored to partner in support of patients affilitated with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, Wake Forest University, and Atrium Health in Charlotte. In-person first appointments for those within 100 miles of Winston-Salem and telehealth services throughout NC.

Megan joins our team as the Lead Psychiatry Physician Assistant after working at Bradford Health Services, an inpatient addiction treatment facility for the past 3 1/2 years. Megan offers Synergy her expertise in recovery-based psychiatric services to those struggling with co-occurring diagnoses, to include substance use and mental health disorders. Megan collaborates with Drs Hedberg and Lord to maintain an exceptional standard of care.

Hi all, please allow us to introduce ourselves! We are Synergy Psych, a new adult psychiatry and medication management practice in Winston Salem. We are owned by Ginny Mills, who also owns Full Life Counseling & Parenting through addiction.

With a commitment to collaboration and recovery-friendly psychiatry, Synergy believes that “working together works better.” Our provider, Megan Trawick, PA-C, seeks creative solutions for adequate symptom relief with safe medicine and other solutions.

Synergy is a new psychiatric practice in Winston-Salem, NC and a new model of care that seeks to deliver exceptional services through the power of collaboration. Although Synergy provides general psychiatric care, we have a special focus on providing recovery-friendly psychiatric care for those with substance use disorders.

Synergy Psych shares space with Full Life Counseling & Recovery in Winston-Salem off Jonestown Road. We love the discreet, comfortable, home-like feel of Full Life's building. Megan sees patients in-person there on Weds and Thursdays, and she sees clients via HIPAA-compliant Zoom on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

In partnership with Full Life Counseling, Synergy Psych is now accepting referrals for recovery-friendly and general adult psychiatry.
