Today, we celebrate Dr. Scott Coleman, who recently received the 2024 Golden Apple. This award, voted on by the residents, recognizes an attending who has exemplified extraordinary qualities of mentorship and teaching. Dr. Coleman completed residency at Drexel University and CT fellowship at PennState Health. From day one here at Wake Forest as an attending anesthesiologist, he has had a passion for teaching residents not only bread and butter anesthesia, but novel, cutting edge techniques that help residents grow into exemplary clinicians. He is known to have a way of teaching that renders things digestible and easy to understand. His down to earth personality makes it easy to ask questions. He clearly cares about residents as people and takes the time to get to know them. Congrats Dr. Coleman!!!
