Let's support our fellow Massachusetts Reiki practitioners.
Urgent Reiki Licensing Alert in Massachusetts!
We need our Reiki Community voices to get LOUD right now! A hearing has been scheduled Monday July 10th for bills H.282 and S.191 which intend to LICENSE Reiki Practitioners and Teachers in Massachusetts. If these bills pass, they will likely end the ability for most of the Reiki lineages to practice and teach Reiki. This is very serious!
We are asking help from everyone in the Reiki Community to provide written testimony to the Joint Committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure in Massachusetts, and to loudly and respectfully oppose bills H. 282, and S.191.

What to Write About:
Let them know that you oppose bills H.282 and S.191.
Be polite and courteous in your emails.
Explain briefly the positive ways Reiki has helped you and your clients.
Explain to them that Reiki is completely safe and effective.
Let them know that there is absolutely no history of any cases associated with Reiki and human trafficking.
This bill will put thousands of predominantly female owned and operated small businesses into financial peril, creating a fiscal impact on the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
You cannot license and regulate a spiritual practice.
These bills would control who can learn, teach and practice Reiki. It would exclude unlicensed Reiki lineages from being taught and practiced in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It would require costly licensing fees. It would heavily regulate the ability to practice, teach and access Reiki in Massachusetts. These bills will have the potential to spread into other states if we do not stop them NOW!
