Thanks to the Nancy Savage Skinner ’79 Fund, four students interned at top arts organizations in Worcester & Boston this summer, making key contributions to marketing, literary, and operations departments.

Discover how a humble role-playing game becomes an enlightening exploration of ethnicity and race; Prof. Jorge Santos' new first-year course "Dungeons, Dragons, & " empowers students to have crucial conversations while building community.

Tabletop role-playing games, or, TTRPGs, "are systems of empathy,” says Jango Janigian ’25. “They allow players to experience the lives (and research) of others in a low-stakes and fun environment, offering the opportunity to explore cultures that are removed from them temporally, geographically or academically."

Throwback to - we're highlighting Ashley Rodriguez Lantigua '23, a dedicated instructor and proud HC alumna!

Her journey to becoming certified was sparked while studying abroad in Ecuador where she deepened her study and practice of embodied healing justice.

After achieving her first certification, she taught classes at the Jo her senior year while on the founding board of ProspHER as the Wellness Director. She’s looking forward to expanding her praxis at Divinity School! 👏

Keep an eye out for the Friendsgiving retreat she will lead in the Fall at the JCC! 🧘

Earlier this summer HC welcomed local artists Cyrille Vincent and Daniel Gay, the distinguished first recipients of the HC x Worcester Cultural Coalition Creative Residencies at The Prior Performing Arts Center. This three-year partnership offers local artists state-of-the-art resources via The Prior, as well as the time and space to create.

“For many artists, the opportunity for time and space apart from their distracted lives is rare,” said Kyle Frisina, The Prior's interim director. "What we're offering is a playground for people to roll up their sleeves, get messy and exist in an experimental state.”
