Nora Rueffer ’24, who received a Fulbright Award this spring, will be spending nine months in Austria as an English teaching assistant — and as a researcher, studying language accessibility at museums in the country.
“I love the idea of making things accessible in different languages. It helps not only tourists but also the tourism industry, which is so important in Austria,” she says.

Noah Katz ’26 needs no thesaurus when asked to describe what it was like to walk onto the field at Fenway Park in front of a sellout crowd of 37,000 raucous fans.
He easily comes up with a host of adjectives — “incredible,” “cool,” and “surreal” among them.
Katz, founder of The Umpire Channel, patrolled the right field line as part of the crew that umpired The Savannah Bananas game in the historic ballpark earlier this month.
“It was an out-of-the-world experience — a childhood dream that I was able to live out," he says.

We had an unexpected visitor near campus yesterday! 🐻
A young black bear was spotted in the backyard of a house on Gates Street, next to University Park and across from the Shaich Family Alumni and Student Engagement Center.
The bear was tranquilized and relocated to a more rural area by the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife, Massachusetts Environmental Police and the Worcester Police Department (Official).

During last month’s Commencement ceremony, professors Jackie Geoghegan and Kristen Williams watched their daughters Maire Geoghegan ’24, CDP ’25, and Anne Culhane-Williams ’24, MBA ’25 — who were born six weeks apart in 2002, when their mothers were already Clark colleagues and friends — complete the Clark undergraduate experience.

Noah Katz ’26 — founder of The Umpire Channel — will make his Fenway Park debut this weekend when The Savannah Bananas bring their world tour to Boston.
The fun-loving, barnstorming baseball team will play in front of a sold-out crowd at the home of the Boston Red Sox, and Katz will be on the field as one of the game's umpires.
“As an umpire, it presents unique challenges but, most importantly, unique fun,” Katz told WCVB Channel 5 Boston. “It’s just the best time you’ll ever have on a baseball field.”

Dr. Robert Bullard — the “Father of Environmental Justice” — has an urgent message for the Class of 2024.
“We need leaders with a vision, who will step out and step up, even when it’s lonely out there. We should all care about the climate and how it impacts not only the planet but also our communities, neighborhoods, homes, and families,” he says.
Dr. Bullard will share remarks during Clark University's 120th Commencement on Monday, May 20. He spoke with ClarkNOW about his efforts to achieve environmental justice, his message to Clark’s graduating students, and his hope for the future.
