The Carriage House Program for Grieving Children and Families is seeking compassionate adults to support our peer-to-peer grief support groups for the Fall 2023 program year. Volunteers facilitate 1.5-hour biweekly groups of children and caregivers ages 3-7, 8-12, or 13-18.

A required volunteer training will be held September 1st 5pm-8pm and September 2nd 9am-5pm, with anticipated start date of September 12, 2023.

Volunteers Needed as Group Facilitators at The Carriage House
Helping children and teens who have experienced the death of someone close to them is a meaningful way to make a difference. Our Volunteer Group Facilitators play an important role in the healing of grieving families receiving support from The Carriage House.
We are seeking volunteers from the community as well as college campuses in the Worcester area.
Volunteer Group Facilitators are committed to: Helping facilitate groups of children, aged 3-18, and their caregivers who have experienced a significant family loss; Carriage House Training (two 2-hour Sessions both required); One year of service (October to June); Volunteers must complete a background check.
