Thank you to all of our ticket holders who came to see Bob Woodward today! We appreciate you! We want to give a special thank you to our season sponsors. Without them, Yakima Town Hall could not bring high caliber speakers to Yakima.
Check out this message from Bob Woodward to the Yakima Town Hall ticket holders! We look forward to welcoming you to our city on Wednesday, Mr. Woodward!
The 51st season of Yakima Town Hall launches this Wednesday at 11:00 am at The Capitol Theatre with Bob Woodward! Do you have your tickets? https://capitoltheatre.org/events/series/town-hall/
Bob Woodward gained international attention when he and Carl Bernstein uncovered the Watergate scandal in 1973. Since then, he’s worked to shine a light on the inner workings of secret government. Woodward’s factual, non-partisan revelations to readers and audiences provide a view of Washington they’ll never get elsewhere. Currently Associate Editor for The Washington Post, where he’s worked since 1971, Bob Woodward has won nearly every American journalism award including two Pulitzers.
Last chance to purchase tickets to see all four speakers in our 51st season! Bob Woodward opens on Wed, Sept 20 at 11 am. Call The Capitol Theatre for tickets, 509-853-2787, or purchase online https://capitoltheatre.org/events/series/town-hall/
Past Yakima Town Hall speaker Diana Nyad authors an interesting article in The New York Times about her experience in rising sea temperatures.
“The unrelenting, monthlong, historic high temperatures through wide corridors of the United States. The emerging forecasts that none of this is likely to be an aberration.
Then, a few weeks ago, the ocean temperature off Miami hit 95 degrees. A visceral alarm gripped my entire being. I kept repeating the number in stunned disbelief. It couldn’t possibly hold, I told myself — and it didn’t. By the end of the month, at least one reading had soared past 100 degrees.”

We love seeing the talents of these student reporters!
Unleashed's very special pair of 4th year members for 2022-23 -- Anabelle Kollman of Eisenhower High School (Yakima Public Schools) and Natalie Keller of Selah High School (Selah School District) -- were given a very special opportunity for a sit-down interview with Amanda Knox just before her appearance at the Yakima Town Hall in The Capitol Theatre on Wednesday morning. Look for something from Anabelle's and Natalie's session later this month in Unleashed! And, big thanks to Kirsten Fitterer of Town Hall for providing the photo here and assisting with the meetup for these two senior girls!
We hope you loved hearing from Amanda Knox as much as we loved bringing her to Yakima!
