This stipple shading Zeus that I got to do in VA was a fun challenge on my patience and OCD. 😝 I have a slightly altered version of it available as well! ⚡️⚡️⚡️.
It's fine. I'm fine. It's all fine.
I’m loving the villain vibe from this angry fish tattoo! 🔥 Bonus points for anyone who guesses where it is referenced from! I am so grateful for my tattoo clients who give me artistic freedom to interpret their vision and make it come true. This evil pike fish design brought a lot of childhood memories, and doing the black and gray tattoo was a fun challenge to simplify my process and focus on lights and darks. Looking forward to completing the backgrounds later! .

I’m back home at after guest spotting in VA! I learned a lot there, had a wonderful time, but missed everyone back here! The first tattoo of the year was this glitter snowflake tattoo. ❄️❄️❄️ It turned out to be right on top of my client’s nerve pain spot, but he persevered through it! I have more snowflake designs for something similar if you are interested! Booking information can be found in my bio. ❄️❄️❄️ .
🌟 Here are some new available flash to kick off the new year with! Please submit a booking form in bio!😘 .
Some Japanese inspired designs I’d love to do!
A HUGE thank you to everyone who got tattooed by me in 2023! I can’t wait to see what 2024 has in store for us! Happy New Year! 🎊🎈🎆
That’s a wrap! I had a WONDERFUL time tattooing and meeting some amazing people at ! 😍❤️ Thank you and team for working with me and helping me grow as an artist! Until next time! 😘😘😘.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Merry Christmas 2023!
If you don’t hear from me for the next couple of days, have a Merry Christmas!!!
The Ancient Beast from Revelation, aka the Red Dragon. It was a daunting piece, but we loved the outcome! .
Got to touch up this floral half sleeve! 😍
Birth flowers and hearts drawn by different family members. 🥹❤️ .
✨ Available designs ✨ You have no idea how much joy these goldfish with pouty cheeks brought me! 😍😍😍 .
✨ Available designs ✨ Snakes don’t get a lot of love after Genesis 3, but I thought they were important subject matters in Japanese tattoos that warranted some time studying and practicing. Adding finger waves on top of everything really forced me to flex my drawing muscles, and I see why some of the tattoo masters have multiple Japanese back pieces under their belts! .
✨ Available designs ✨ Totally loving the Japanese inspired flash series I have going on. 😍 Like and share so that these designs can find a permanent home! 😘 .
✨ Available designs ✨ The pre-tattooing me would have never imagined that I’d ever want to do traditional Japanese inspired tattoos, but here we are! As a Korean American myself who has been exposed to very similar culture and images in early life, I had always found anything Japanese style related so cliche and a watered-down gateway to the Far Eastern Asian cultures for those who were not familiar. Adding to that some historic enmity between Japan and Korea, I’ve always ignorantly wondered what was so great about traditional Japanese tattoos and why there was no traditional Korean tattoo category!
Now that I am learning more about tattoo history, I find myself understanding why traditional Japanese tattoo style has been so important and influential in the tattoo world. The aesthetics and techniques have been established and repeated over such a long span of recorded history, rendering the imagery so powerful and timeless. Things I see in a great Japanese tattoo are things that make any tattoos great and had been drilled in my head: bold outlines, color saturation, contrast and value, line weight, the rule of threes, etc.
Since I’m a junior tattoo artist and trying out every tattoo style, this winter I want to focus on studying and doing more Japanese inspired tattoos! If you want to be a part of this, you can claim one of my predrawn designs or request your own concept on my booking form. Please share this post and feel free to comment on what you want to see next! It helps me get discovered by other potential clients who are also looking for this type of work 😊❤️
8 years ago today, Joey Williams and I got married at the court with one of our friends as a witness and a very few number of people knowing about it. Meeting him in pharmacy school literally changed my life because he was the first “average” person that I met who had a tattoo and wasn’t a part of a gang or had prison history LOL! 🤣 I remember going to one of his family reunions while dating and seeing his other “average citizen” family members with tattoos and telling myself I should get one too. Since then we enabled each other’s ink addiction before and through covid.
When I finally took the big step into starting a tattoo apprenticeship, he literally gave up his arms and legs and was running out the door to be first in line for the first tattoos I did on someone other than myself. The very first one was the Beaker whose face was literally me every time I was behind the machine during the first couple of months into tattooing. Then, my first arm tattoo, first “big” tattoo, first sleeve, etc. He gave me free rein on design, placement, colors, or anything, and I learned so so so much by trying things while having the trust and support of this man.
Now a full time tattoo artist, I can say I could not and cannot do this without his continuous love and support. If I have to go through another 6 years of school to have him, I would do it in a heartbeat. Even if I wasn’t tattooing at all, I would still love and appreciate him so much, although the grueling hours and dedication that go into tattooing have been a tremendous test of commitment and trust. We’re certainly not perfect people or a perfect couple, but I feel perfectly imperfect and accepted in his arms. Tattooing may have slowed down with the holiday season, but we have been spending so much quality family time which we are so grateful for. Aside from God’s love obviously, I will drink up Joey’s love during this time of drought and bloom and bear fruit in spring. I love you so so so much, honey ❤️❤️❤️
Added flowers and rainbow swirl around my client’s previous tattoo which had been done by a different artist. It was another awesome day of sharing each other’s stories and journeys we’re going through and solidifying why I love what I do. Thank you, Kelli! .
Got to do this wrap-around Chinese knot with glittery carnations today. (Baby foot print tattoo not mine.) It was a fun day getting to know my client, similarities and differences in our backgrounds, and the shared love for tattoos. ❤️ Thank you, !
