To me, making the time to practice yoga is making an appointment to spend time with my body and to honor how far I’ve come. I have a history of anxiety, and after many years of therapy and hard-work, it is only in the last couple of years that I really feel like I have begun to get to a place where I am able and have a greater willingness to show up for myself and face the inevitable challenges of life. A place where I am acting and living from the centre of my being, and not somewhere disembodied and detached from myself and the people around me. To heal, to come back to ourselves, is a path that is different for each of us. I really believe that the more tools we can gather to help keep ourselves rooted to the ground, rooted in whatever our reality is, the better off we will be. If practiced mindfully, with kindness and patience, yoga can become an anchoring practice that helps to stabilise the ground beneath your feet. It has certainly done that, and continues to do so for me.
Join me for a relaxing & grounding Integral Vinyasa flow this week. For this week’s classes the invitation is to slow down and feel into your body as we build our way up (or, more accurately, ”down”) to a long deep relaxation as our main pose. Hi everyone! Stress and anxiety is something which more and more of us struggle with on a daily basis. Our lives are busy, work and home-life can be stressful and overwhelming, and at times everything can feel a bit chaotic and out of control. The kind of yoga I practice and teach can help to bring your mind back into your body, and by doing so help to ground and calm you down. All of which helps us to gain more control over lives again. I teach a group class at my home in Thủ Dầu Một every Thursday morning from 6:00 to 7:15. I am also open for private classes. Hi everyone! On the 24th of September I will be hosting a live online Yoga Workshop on "Setting Up A Regular Home Yoga Practise". We will discuss a basic routine, the benefits of regular practise (on top of attending class) and how to adjust the routine to your specific needs. Hi everyone! Welcome to my page😊 This page is all about my yoga studio, the classes I offer and interesting bits & pieces about yoga in general. I teach live online classes, as well as in-person private & group classes at my home in Thủ Dầu Một, Vietnam.
My approach to yoga is one of gentleness and kindness, with slow movements, deep stretching and a large emphasis on body and breath awareness. Movement as a form of meditation is something that I have found to be very beneficial in my own life, and as such the main aim of my classes are to help each participant to become more mindful of their own body, breath and mind. Through mindful breathing and movement, we are able to re-train our body how to let go of stress and anxiety, ultimately cultivating a quieter mind and a calmer, more peaceful life.
I was trained in Integral Vinyasa Yoga. "Integral" meaning all encompassing (anybody can practise yoga), and "Vinyasa" meaning an intelligently planned series of steps within a sequence. My classes are slow and meditative, ending with a pranayama (breathing) practice and a long deep relaxation.
Please join me, as we practise to move mindfully and with kindness, to breathe fully and to enjoy each movement and each breath.
