This Mandela Day, we invite you to join us at Helderberg Hospice to make a meaningful impact! We’ll be creating much-needed care packs for our patients, filled with essential toiletry items and decorated with love.
👫 Bring a Friend: Join us for a day of giving back and community spirit.
What to Bring:
- Yourself and a friend
- A couple of toiletry items (e.g., toothbrush, toothpaste, facecloth, soap, roll-on) to contribute to the care packs
What to Expect:
- 67 minutes packing care packs
- 67 minutes decorating care packs
- A warm welcome and a friendly, homely environment
- A tour of our facilities (optional)
- Drinks and snacks provided
- Sharing of the day on social media and in local newspapers (with your consent)

Hospice Shops
Our 3 shops are an important source of income that supports the work that we do in the community by assisting those living with life-limiting illnesses. This support is given to all who need it, and gives people back dignity and a quality of life, with special support for the whole family through this life journey.
Donations are the lifeblood of the shops, and we gratefully accept your good quality items to sell, including clothing and shoes, books, furniture, and household bric-a-brac. Donations can be delivered to Main Shop Depot, at 139 Main Road, Somerset West. Should your donation be too large to fit in your car, we will gladly collect it from you, on arrangement, by phoning our Main Shop Depot on 021 851 9626.
