1. The type of cup you use makes a difference.
According to several scientific studies, the color, shape and even the texture of our cup makes a difference in the way we taste coffee. For instance, drinking dark coffee from a white cup creates a strong contrast, making us think our coffee is stronger. Conversely, when we drink from a clear cup, many of us perceive the coffee to be lighter and sweeter.

2. Light roast coffee has slightly more caffeine.
Ever wondered what the actual difference between light roast and dark roast coffee is, and if dark roast is stronger than light roast? It turns out dark roast isn't any stronger than light roast; in fact, light roast often has a bit more caffeine in it!

3. Coffee beans can actually be too fresh.
If your coffee beans are too fresh, your coffee might taste sour. That's why most roasters let their coffee beans sit (or "settle") for a few days before using them.

4. Your grinder matters more than your brew method.
Poorly ground beans can lead to a bad cup of coffee. That's why a good grinder is just as—if not, more important—than the coffee machine you use. (Fresh coffee beans are also a must.) So which grinder should you buy? Learn the difference between blade and burr grinders and which one is right for you.

5. Coffee has more flavonoids than wine.
Flavanoids are antioxidant agents. And while red wine has its fair share of flavonoids and antioxidants, coffee (and dark chocolate) has more!

6. Decaf coffee isn't caffeine-free.
It's impossible for coffee to be completely caffeine-free, as caffeine is vital to the growth of coffee plants. Decaf coffee is usually about 97 percent caffeine-free, but never 100 percent.

We are looking to appoint either a freelance sales executive, a student studying towards a Sales/Marketing degree that requires practical experience, or a professional that is in alliance of already selling coffee products, as this position is strictly commission based.

The ideal candidate will be appointed to sell espresso machines and our delectable, hand-crafted artisan coffee to a more high end clientèle. This representative of our business must be well-manicured, confident and have exceptional communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.

An appreciation and enjoyment of the finer things in life - including excellent, fresh coffee - as well as knowledge of the coffee (or wine) industry would be beneficial for this role.

Your own, reliable transport is also a requirement. Please note this is a work from home position.

Exited faces! The 2 Eves grand opening is happening this Friday 30 August. We’re also lucky enough to be the exclusive coffee supplier to this rad coffee shop and restaurant in the heart of Cape Town.

If you’re in the area on Friday, get to 1 Kloof Street from 4pm to late for live entertainment, welcoming drinks on arrival and wine tasting! Oysters and bubbly, pulled pork, butter chicken, rad bar and of course kickass coffee.

A quick visit to in Leuven ended up a not so quick coffee tasting. Great job, loved the vibe. And thank you for the Honduras Norma Iris Faillos macerated beans. Can’t wait to try.

Took a trip to in Dublin and drank one of the most outstanding espresso’s to date! Great job guys!

Exploring wide open spaces just does something to you! It's especially fun when you do it with great company and some proper gear!

We're brewing Nicaragua Sejonia Estate through a Bialetti Mini Express. We also had such fun trying out the Pocket Rocket 2 and those handy espresso cups! We loved this setup and will definitely be brewing with this again!
