A question I get asked every day.
What is the cause of trigger points developing in muscles? Here are just a few possible areas to explore:
• Vitamin deficiencies (example Iron and Folic acid)
• Emotional stressors
• Repetitive overuse of a muscle (for example painting your house)
• Poor posture at your desk or on the couch
There may be one or a multitude of the above factors to take into consideration as the potential cause for your myofascial trigger points.
