We came across this beautiful Lioness on the Capricorn loop near Tsendze in early June 2023. She was clearly on a mission, and we suspect she was trying to locate her cubs. Thanks to Rogerh from Tsendze for giving us a heads up as to where to find lion👍
One of our favorite camp sites in Dinokeng.
We love going to Tsendze. Apart from looking after the camp and keeping it in immaculate condition, Rodgerh and Elinah are also always on hand and eager to show their visitors the different birds that make Tsendze their home. On our last visit Rodgerh kindly showed us this Scops Owl perched in a tree close to our camp site.
We love stopping on the various bridges in the Kruger Park. The Pied Kingfisher can be found on many of the bridges and are quite entertaining with their aerial manoeuvres and amazing fishing skills.
This Beautiful Leopard was seen 1km from Letaba Rest Camp. It had been feasting on a Zebra foal for the past few days, so it was in no hurry to go anywhere. The remnants of the Zebra can be seen hanging in the top right of the tree in the third photo.
This Yellow Billed Hornbill was very entertaining as he posed on a fence at Letaba Rest Camp for a quick photo shoot.
This Lilac Breasted Roller almost flew in through our cars open window in an effort to catch a grass hopper. As you can see the Roller was successful in its efforts. Photo's were taken on the low level bridge close to Lower Sabie Rest Camp in the Kruger National Park.
What a privilege it is to have campsites like these, unfenced in a Big 5 Reserve just 45 minutes from home.
So proud of this fella! Thomas is 11 and playing the first ever game of GO FLY, the card game he was inspired to create. Well done Tommy, it's fitting that you won!
What a fun game and a great way to learn about birds 🐦
As the sun was setting this breeding herd waited patiently for the last car to leave before coming down to the water for a drink at the Shipandani Overnight Hide, Kruger National Park.
These two large Nile Crocodiles decided to catch the last few rays of sunlight as the sun was setting at Shipandani Sleepover Hide near Mopani Rest Camp in the Kruger National Park.
