Magnetism: its amazing how much fun we can have with magnets 🧲 our Experi-Buddies got real creative 😂 we definitely learn so much through play.

Space 🚀 storm on Jupiter 🌪️ amazing how every storm looked different and unique just like all my little scientist we absolutely had a blast 💥

Milk, 🥛 butter 🧈 and plastic hopefully all the Experi-Buddies made mom and dad some fresh butter.

Water cycle☀️🌊 ☁️🌧️clouds ⛅️ and rainbows 🌈 we had so much fun looking at primary colours and creating secondary colours and making some rainbows outside and inside 🌈

TERM 2 wow 🤩 its been a busy few weeks, started the term off with chemical reactions, density and lawa lamps

To one amazing 1st Term 🧪🔭💡getting to know all our little scientist we look forward to a fun filled 2nd Term. Enrolments for Term 2 is now open

Geology… sand,soil, erosion and volcanoes 🌋 This was such an amazing week

Week3: We learned all about the weather 🌦️ spoke about the scientist Gabriel Fahrenheit who inventedtbe thermometer 🌡️ and even made our own tornado 🌪️ and thermometers 🌡️ 🧪🥼

Week 2 Thomas Edison the inventor of the💡 we oped and closed circuits, spoke about electricity ⚡️ and even made our own static electricity with a balloon 🎈 and a soda-can. Super proud of all my little scientist

And so 2024 started off with a bang 💥 welcome to all our clever little scientist 🥼🧪we are looking forward to a adventures year with many new discoveries💡🌡️🔭all our classes started this week 📆 Remember there are still space available at Laerskool Rooihuiskraal Amptelik Trinityhouse Centurion Curro Thatchfield Preschool. Last Lesson of 2023 was all about our 5 senses we could smell 👃 and see 👀 hear 👂 feel 🤝 and taste 👅 it was an exciting lesson to end off 2023 may all my little scientist have a blessed and colourful festive season

Discoveries… Engineering… Recycling… what busy few weeks we had still four more weeks and then i have to say goodbye to all my clever scientists but while i still have them for a little while I’ll do my best to plant the science seeds 🪴 though play we learn so much!!!

Water 💦 and some fun experimens (physics) whooo whooo we learn so much through exploring and playing ( our future scientist 👩🏻‍🔬 )

Discoveries… Boats( John Fitch) who made the first steam boat… we explored our own steam boat, and why some objects sink and some float… even made a speed boat 🚤… then we went to the moon 🌝 ( our natural satellite 🛰️) spoke about radar and robot arms 🤖 inside spacecraft’s that helps astronauts to fasten bolts and 🔩

Term 3… Botany… This week we learned more about Microscope’s 🔬 , Plants 🌱 and plant cells… we saw how important the cell wall, cytoplast, vacuoles and the Nucleus is and what each function is. We got so clever this week. 🌱🔬🦠

Term 3… Engineering ⚙️🪚🔨 all our little scientists discussed the importance of machines. We spoke about 4 basic machines that we use in everyday life, even if we dont think we are using them! We had soooo much Fun 🤩

This 3rd term started way to fast 💨 from Magnetism to physics, Chemical reactions were my favourite looked into different PH levels and made our own PH liquid chart 📊 also learned that when you have a acid and a base it forms bubbles 🫧 that forms a gas Co2, there are still 6 more weeks to go so little time and sooo much more to discover 🌡️🧪🦠

We ended the term with VOLCANOES 🌋 Geology is such a amazing science field and there is so much to discover. We looked at our 7 continents how the earth plates move causing earthquakes and Tsunami’s and when colliding forming volcanoes. This was my favourite week seeing all the priceless expressions on each and every little scientist face.

Oh how much fun we had this week. Animals born alive =mammals and hatch out of soft shelled eggs=Reptiles, we saw that a colibri birds eggs are as small as a peanut 🥜 and that i would sink in water but when making the water denser with salt it would float.

Anatomy: we learned more about our eyes… we are all so blessed to be able to see. From the moment we open our eyes 👀 until we have to go to sleep. No wonder 💭 they say the eyes is the window to the soul. We discovered that we can’t always belief our eyes 😂

3 weeks since my last post, but what do they say no news is good news☺️ the last few weeks we were busy with meteorology 🌧️ physics 🚨and astronomy 🪐. See all my little scientist next week, a week filled with Anatomy 👀😁
