Join our family by choosing to study with the College of Human Sciences
Would you like to study at Unisa’s College of Human Sciences? If yes, then an application is the first step towards completing a qualification at Unisa. You cannot register in the first semester of an academic year if you have not applied to study and been approved during the previous year’s application phase. Information about the application period for undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications will be published on the Unisa website. Go to www.unisa.ac.za/chs or http://www.unisa.ac.za/sites/corporate/default/Apply-for-admission.
Unisa CHS students are widely recognised in the workplace, not only for their qualifications, but also for their work ethic and ability to function independently with perseverance and self-discipline. Unisa students tend to be more mature, can plan their studies around their work and still have time for family and other commitments. Self-discipline and time management are two of the skills required to study at Unisa – distance education may not be for everyone, but it may just be for you!
Imagine a flexible classroom that can be adjusted around your schedule – your classroom will be wherever you are: a room at home, a desk at work, a hotel room while you are on a business trip. If you can carry the material with you or have access to the internet, then you can study. This is the world of distance learning. Wherever you are in the world, as a Unisa student you are never alone. We have provided a number of support services for our students such as an online learning portal called myUnisa. We also offer online discussion forums where you can chat to other students and your lecturers; content specialist e-tutors; and career and study counsellors.
Information on the range of qualifications we offer in the CHS, the admission requirements, and the application process is available at http://www.unisa.ac.za/sites/corporate/default/Apply-for-admission. We also have vibrant Facebook (Unisa College of Human Sciences) and Twitter (@UnisaCHS) accounts where you can interact with us and find important information. This may be your opportunity. Take up the challenge, join our family and study with the College of Human Sciences wherever you may be in the country, continent and the world.
