Did you know there is a wrong and right way to Shampoo your hair?

If you've experienced dull hair, limp strands, or a flaky scalp, it might not be just because of the weather. It turns out all these issues can be caused (and solved) by the way you're shampooing your hair.

Any you making any of these mistakes👇

Misstep 1: You're not wetting your hair enough. To guarantee your products work their best, completely saturate your strands in the shower for three minutes pre-shampoo, being sure to avoid wringing out your hair.

Misstep 2:Not creating a lather. A lather is the froth soaps and detergents produce. When you're taking a shower, you make the soap frothy: this is a lather, and you're lathering when you create it.
Rich, creamy lather is not only enjoyable to use but also helps the cleansing agents to spread easily across your scalp, in-between fibers, and down the length of your hair, for a thorough clean.
"Without lather, hair doesn't get clean, It's lather that creates sort of a vacuum situation that sucks the dirt and cellular debris away from the head." After applying shampoo to the nape of your neck, the crown, and a dollop at each temple, just add water until you see suds.

What does it mean when shampoo doesn't lather?
You're not completely wetting your hair pre-shampoo. Without enough water, shampoo doesn't lather—and you may be inclined to compensate by using more product (stripping your hair and your wallet).

Misstep 3: You're causing friction. Rubbing strands between your hands as you wash can damage your strands. Focus instead on using your fingertips to massage the scalp, where shampoo is most needed.

Misstep 4: You're repeating unnecessarily. When it comes to shampooing, once is really enough. "That myth of lather, rinse, repeat is wrong, those were directions that were made in the 1950s when women washed their hair once a week or less and had extreme buildup.

Misstep 5: You're not rinsing enough. Take the time to rinse hair out thoroughly and then wring it out post-shampoo. Some people have soap curd dried behind their ears because they didn't rinse their hair and it looks like flakes, it's not that they have flaky scalp there is still shampoo in their head.

Misstep 6: Washing and rinsing with hot water. Warm water is sufficient to wash and get rid of buildup, oil, and dirt but the final rinse will give you optimal shine finish up with a hit of cool/cold water to seal the cuticles.

Does cold water tangle your hair?
It helps in sealing in the hair's moisture and also helps in clumping your coils and curls together for even more definition. However, while warm water creates frizz, cold water tends to flatten the hair.

FECO and Ulcerative Colitis

When it comes to treating ulcerative colitis, using FECO is technically the most efficient because it is easier to dose & ultimately better for your health rather than smoking or using an edible.

Several smaller studies have shown patients reporting improvement in symptoms using CBD and cannabis. These improvements include:

Reduction in abdominal pain
Relief from joint pain
Improved appetite
Nausea relief
Reduced diarrhea episodes
Improved sleep
Anxiety relief
Depression relief
Weight gain

It is important for patients to discuss using FECO with their gastroenterologist who manages their treatment of ulcerative colitis.

Symptoms of MS

Chronic Pain
Spasticity
Neuropathy
Tremors

Understanding the Different Types of MS
Even though multiple sclerosis is considered a disease of the central nervous system, including the brain and spinal cord, it can cause a variety of symptoms for those who have it. In some patients, symptoms are mild or may not be very noticeable. For others, it can be considered a disabling disease. Because of its nature, the signs and symptoms vary based on the amount of nerve damage as well as which nerves are affected. Although MS affects every patient differently, the main categories of multiple sclerosis are 👇

Clinically Isolated Syndrome (CIS)
CIS is considered a precursor to MS, despite its classification as being one of the four disease courses of this disorder.
It is considered the first episode of neurological symptoms a patient experiences and is caused by inflammation and demyelination of nerves and nerve cells in the central nervous system. Patients with this form of MS can experience a single symptom or several neurological symptoms (multifocal) at a time. These initial symptoms typically last at least 24 hours.

Relapsing-remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS)

RRMS is considered the most common form of MS and includes 85% of patients diagnosed with this disorder. These patients experience periods of new symptoms and/or relapses that develop over days and weeks. Suddenly these symptoms seem to partially or completely improve without warning. These relapses in symptoms are usually followed by periods of remission that can last a few months or a few years. These symptom attacks are caused by inflammation attacks on the myelin membranes of nerve cells or the nerve fibers inside the myelin (the protective coating of the nerves).

Many patients with RRMS experience clearly defined neurological symptoms such as spasticity and neuropathy. Patients with RRMS are more likely to have brain lesions, inflammatory lesions, and spinal cord lesions than with other types of MS.

Secondary Progressive MS (SPMS)

At least 50% of patients with the relapsing form of MS end up developing progressively worsening symptoms within 10-20 years from the onset of the disease. These patients sometimes experience periods of remission, but not always. As the symptoms worsen, patients often experience issues with how they walk and their mobility. SPMS is usually diagnosed when the disease changes from gradual symptoms of inflammation to actual nerve damage or nerve loss.

Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS)

Some MS patients experience a gradual onset and a steady progression of neurological symptoms. This is known as primary progressive multiple sclerosis. Patients with PPMS do not experience relapses or remissions. They also tend to experience more issues with their mobility and have difficulty working, requiring more assistance with daily activities than those who have other forms of MS. This is interesting to note as patients with PPMS tend to have fewer brain lesions than those who suffer from the relapsing forms of MS.

Fibromyalgia Signs and Symptoms

Pain and stiffness all over the body
Fatigue and tiredness
Depression and anxiety
Sleep disorders
Problems with thinking, memory, and concentration
Headaches, including migraines
Other symptoms may include:

Tingling or numbness in hands and feet
Pain in the face or jaw, including disorders of the jaw known as temporomandibular joint syndrome (also known as TMJ)
Digestive problems, such as abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, and even irritable bowel syndrome (also known as IBS)

Fibromyalgia Treatments
It should be noted that the overall approach to treating fibromyalgia is focused on symptom relief to maintain function and improve the quality of life of the patient. Since comorbid conditions are often present in fibromyalgia patients— it is necessary to treat co-occurring conditions such as mood disorders or sleep disorders to improve the quality of life of the patient.

Did you know? Fibromyalgia’s primary manifestation is widespread pain, medications being the frontline treatments to offer symptom relief. Both opioids and simple analgesics such as acetaminophen have been shown to be largely ineffective.

There are several alternative methods that do not involve using pharmaceuticals to treat fibromyalgia. Other treatment methods include:

patient education
regular physical activity
a balanced diet
stress management
cognitive behavioral therapy

Here’s how to tell the difference between fungal acne and bacterial acne:

Size. Pus-filled bumps caused by fungal acne tend to be nearly all the same size.

Bacterial acne can cause pimples and whiteheads of varying sizes.

Location. Fungal acne often shows up on the arms, chest, and back. It can also be on the face, where bacterial acne is most common.

Itching. Fungal acne often causes itchiness. Bacterial acne rarely does.

Clusters. Fungal acne often appears in clusters of small whiteheads. Bacterial acne is less clustered and more sparse.

Fungal acne is the result of yeast growth, so you may experience other yeast-related conditions, like psoriasis and dandruff. This can help you determine whether your breakouts are from yeast or another cause.

We are talking about va**nal health join the conversation👇😊

What causes an imbalance?

Anything with a high pH above 4.5, like douches or soaps with fragrances, can disrupt the natural acidity in your va**na. Even tight-fitting clothing that doesn’t allow air to circulate can cause pH changes below the belt by trapping sweat and moisture against your skin.

Your va**na is pretty good at protecting and cleaning itself, though. Proper va**nal care, such as good hygiene, safe s*x, and regular gynecological visits, all play a role in keeping your pH in check. Water intake and diet modifications can also help

Ever heard doctors or ladies say to use a mild soap like baby wash well let me tell you why 👉many baby soaps have an alkaline pH of 8 or higher. Even mild cleansers and body washes have a pH of around 7, which is too high for a baby's fragile skin.
From their first bath, pH-balanced soaps that have a pH of 5.5 are required to maintain newborn skin, there are a few mentioned that has a PH OF 4.4-5.5.
NOW allow me to tell you about an organic option we recommend the Dip 'n Dudu because there is no need to research words you cannot even pronounce... the ingredients include glycerine -Glycerine is used to regulate the wetness in the va**na for beneficial hygiene in the va**na and Ylang Ylang-Ylang-ylang essential oil is subtly fragrant and soothing to va**nal tissues. This product is a wonderful addition to a self-care regimen to promote healthy va**nal tissue and moisture.
We also suggest you look into l**e for her to prevent/fight infections and improve your sensual and s*xual experience.

Does FECO improve the production of collagen in our bodies?

What is collagen?
Collagen is the most abundant protein in your body. It accounts for about 30% of its total protein. Collagen is the primary building block of your body’s skin, muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments, and other connective tissues. It’s also found in your organs, blood vessels, and intestinal lining.

What happens to collagen as I age?
Your body produces less collagen as you age, and existing collagen breaks down faster. The collagen is also lower in quality than when you were younger. Women experience a significant reduction in collagen production after menopause. It’s normal for everyone to experience a decline in collagen production after age 60.

The leading cause of collagen loss is aging and free radicals, free radicals being anything from smoking, sun damage, alcohol, chemicals, radiation, inflammation, etc

Free radicals are responsible for breaking down collagen.
So you can't do much about aging, but you can help to minimize the effect by targeting the free radicals causing damage.

Because cannabis's primary focus is to bring balance to the body the AM and PM will fight free radicals on the inside, also building up muscle and tissue and therefore helping to prevent premature collagen loss.

Laki skin range is also rich in everything good for your skin but bad news for free radicals, all our products along with the FECO are Anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, rich in antioxidants, Moisturizing, and protects skin from further damage.

With all these factors it doesn't reverse aging or the previous damage but it lessens the effect, like pigmentation marks, and scars, smoothing out wrinkles from giving the skin much-needed moisture and exfoliation.

Remember any product can only do so much, staying healthy and drinking enough water is very important, and hormones and illness can still have an effect on collagen production.

Worth the read👇 Autoimmune diseases👀

Even though autoimmune diseases typically have no cure, the symptoms of fatigue, joint pain, chronic pain, and insomnia can be treated in various ways to help the patient live a more comfortable life. Cannabis Sativa and its cannabinoids, including THC and CBD, begin activation with their introduction into the endocannabinoid system.

The endocannabinoid system consists of fat-based neurotransmitters that are made in the body. Two of the most well-studied endocannabinoids are anandamide (AEA) and 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG). This is an endocannabinoid, an endogenous agonist of the CB1 receptor, and the primary endogenous ligand for the CB2 receptor. When cannabinoids enter the body, they make contact with CB1 and CB2 receptors throughout the body. This can directly increase or decrease endocannabinoids in the body, working as a chain reaction and influencing the way the body modulates pain, inflammation, homeostasis, and other processes.
How do you increase anandamide in your body?
Exercise – In as little as 2 minutes a day of intense exercise, you can increase your production of anandamide and improve the sensitivity of its receptors. Touch – Increase your natural Oxytocin to stimulate the production of anandamide by making time to touch and be touched.

Interestingly, when the endocannabinoid system is not regulated by the body properly, it can cause a variety of chronic conditions including cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.

For more information on how the endocannabinoid system works, please keep an eye on our page.

Autoimmune diseases-Immuno suppression ( Suppression of the body's immune system and its ability to fight infections and other diseases)

THC & CBD along with other cannabinoids found in medical ma*****na can trigger immunosuppressive effects.
It works by triggering apoptosis a type of cell death.
This is one method the body uses to eliminate unneeded or abnormal cells. Immune cells called t- lymphocytes & macrophages are responsible for attacking foreign pathogens in the body but when an autoimmune disease occurs these cells attack healthy tissues and cause inflammation, triggering cell death means a decrease in these cells attacking the healthy tissue.

THC also attacks inflammation through cytokines-small proteins that are crucial in controlling the growth and activity of other immune cells & blood cells, when released it signals the immune system to do its job -when disrupted, white blood cell production slows resulting in slower immune response and decreased inflammation.

Good Morning

Next topic of conversation...Moisture overload! Yes it's a thing

Moisture overload occurs when there is too much moisture and too little protein. This is the second kind of imbalance your hair can experience. Moisture overload tends to affect those who have high hair porosity, causing it to look limp, stringy, and greasy.

What does moisture overload look and feel like?
If you pull one strand of hair it will stretch and stretch without bouncing back

To get rid of moisture overload or product buildup we suggest you stick to the Apple cider vinegar to get rid of build-up use only the shampoo bar no heavy conditioners and detangle products.

Again getting balance in hair less is more the biggest thing you have to worry about is trying to figure out what your hair needs and being persistent with a hair routine dedicated in fixing the problem with Laki we take the hassle out of overthinking what to buy and how much to use because we offer Multi-Functional safe, organic products for your every hair need.

Moisture overload can happen if you are using too many products, or if you are using products that contain too much moisture. It can also happen if you have curly hair and use a lot of products on your hair, or if your hair has been damaged by heat styling.

It is important to note that it is not just the conditioner itself causing the problem. The main culprit of moisture overload is simply your haircare routine - the number of times per week you shampoo and condition, how often you use heat styling tools, how often you wash your hair

Some habits that are causing moisture overload:

Sleeping with your hair wet OR with conditioner
Deep conditioning too often
Leaving the conditioner in your hair too long

Top tip: You can use protein treatments to restore the protein balance.

Eg: Egg or yogurt masks
Protein-rich foods
Natural hair oils (skip the products altogether use only the apple cider vinegar rinse once every 2 weeks to cleanse the hair to give the hair some time to adjust to little to no products)

There is so much more to say about this topic but we aim to keep our posts informative yet impactful.

We hope you have an amazing day.
