So, although we are all about our kitties, this post is for a special doggy called Nike.

When the cuteness of a little puppy wore off, Nike was left outside and sometimes chained to a tree as one of the owners was scared of him.

They decided to move overseas and wanted to rehome Nike, but the tenant who took over the property said he wanted him to guard it.

The tenant died 2 weeks ago, and after 10 months of being left alone, poor Nike was traumatised, confused, angry, and very timid.

Last Thursday, our community rallied around to see what we could do for Nike.

We made turns spending time with him, and this beautiful boy has made a 360 turnaround!

Nike loves to play ball, and hide-and-seek, he sits (when he feels like it) most of the time we ask, loves to run, treats, brushes, and very tight cuddles right next to you. He has also started walking very calmly and obediently on a leash.

We need to find him his forever home.

He will be sterlised before being homed, but he has had his annual vaccinations already.

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED FOR TIGER!

Please help us get him into foster care..

Tiger is living as a feral, but he shouldn't be - he is tame and he loves human affection!
He has had multiple mouth surgeries that haven't fixed the problem, so he needs to be fostered in a home where he can be taken care of, while we figure it out.

He is sterilised, FIV and FeLV negative and is in good health, other than his mouth. We are open to a foster-to-adopt situation, as we eventually want him in a forever-home.

He needs a home:
· where he can roam around (so not in a confined room), but he doesn’t need a big space
· where someone is around a lot of the time
· with no other cats and no dogs

🫂 UPDATE! THE POWER OF SOCIAL MEDIA IS INCREDIBLE!

This kitty (named Baby Cat) indeed belonged to Hodge who moved to Australia in December and placed her in the care of friends.

8 months ago she ran away never to be seen again.

A family member of Natalie went and identified her earlier and it was indeed her.

Although it is a very sad ending, at least Natalie has closure.

Please, proper measures must be taken when pets are rehomed to prevent them from disappearing.

No amount of butter will solve this. Cats are creatures of habit, they have to be confined indoors for AT LEAST 2-3 weeks, giving them reassurance, and creating a calm environment.

I suspect she was eating at Rhema Church as there are a couple of feral colonies being looked after. She was in a good condition.

RIP beautiful little girl.
