Our preschoolers had an exciting and educational field trip to a local Checkers store!

Each child had the fun task of finding an item, putting it in their trolley, and paying for it at the till.

This hands-on experience taught them about using money and gave them the chance to make their own shopping decisions.

We're so proud of their enthusiasm and curiosity! 🛒✨

Did you know that it’s Mandela Day today? Whilst usually a day of volunteering, we know most people simply can’t pop out of the office. No worries - you still have an easy opportunity to make a lasting difference in the work that we do.
What’s happening at Oasis Haven this year? Our focus is inviting our supporters to pop through have a tour, maybe make a donation and help us to care for the 20 children who call Oasis Haven home. Just like Busy Bees pre-school is currently doing. Together, we can ensure that we break the cycle of orphaned and vulnerable children.

As we approach Mandela Day on July 18th, we are reminded of Nelson Mandela’s unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Mandela Day is not only a time to celebrate his life and legacy but also an opportunity for each of us to take action and create positive change in our communities.

This year we are focusing on meeting the children’s immediate needs through our needs list. By donating items from our needs list, you can make a significant impact on the lives of these children. The needs list is an effective way to meet their nutritional and hygienic needs, while also enabling the organisation to save money that can be directed towards other important costs such as school fees and medical expenses.

We would also like to extend an invitation to our supporters to visit our homes, take a tour of our facilities, and have a conversation with our management team.

Each group or team will be given an hour for their visit.

This past week the greater Randburg and some surrounding areas went without water for days on end leaving many residents feeling vulnerable, frustrated and let down by the institution that is supposed to provide for them.

This week the water is back and the residents can breathe a sigh of relief.

The feelings and emotions that the Randburg residents experienced is what Oasis Haven goes through on a constant basis in our mission to care and provide for our kids. Your support allows us to also breathe a sigh of relief.
