Today, we are celebrating the heroes who shape our future - our amazing teachers! 🙌✨

They go above and beyond to educate, inspire, and support us every step of the way.

The class was filled with aspiring teachers today, such a treat 💗

Yesterday, we celebrated Africa Day by educating children about the amazing cultures, traditions, and people of this vibrant continent! Through games, crafts, and stories, we learned so much about the history and diversity of Africa. We hope that our students continue to explore and appreciate this beautiful continent and its people.

Today we enjoyed celebrating the special people in our children’s lives. 💝
We are so grateful for all the Gogo’s, nanny’s, aunts, uncles, moms and dads that joined us today. We hope you enjoyed the icing activities and enjoyed a warm bath tonight with the bath salts you made.

There are many things to learn about.. but one of our favorites is World Pancake Day 🤩

As always does it best. Try the recipe, it was a hit with the kids.

Ingredients:

3 large free-range eggs
125 g plain flour
250 ml milk
unsalted butter

Method:

Crack the eggs into a blender, then add the flour, milk and 1 pinch of sea salt, and blitz until smooth.
Pour into a bowl and leave to stand for 15 minutes.
Melt the butter (or a drizzle of oil if you want to be a bit healthier) in a large non-stick frying pan on a medium heat, then tilt the pan so the butter coats the surface.
Pour in 1 ladle of batter and tilt again, so that the batter spreads all over the base, then cook for 1 to 2 minutes, or until it starts to come away from the sides.
Once golden underneath, flip the pancake over and cook for 1 further minute, or until cooked through.
Serve straightaway with your favourite topping.

👋🏼January is almost over and we haven’t posted our first week back. We are back in the full swing and all our kiddies are doing so well. We are looking forward to a great year filled with lots of learning and fun.. 🎉🍃

Heritage Day 2022 🇿🇦

Transitioning from parallel play (where children play near each other) to associative play (the start of interactive play) happens around the age of 3..
Learning to develop friendships is a lifelong process but these formative early childhood years establish the foundation for forming and maintaining friendships which is a critical social developmental skill.

Our little ones need time and space for free play with their peers to help develop their social skills and to form friendships.

Pop past and have a look at our new outdoor area where free play is encouraged.

We are back!!! Term 3 has begun and we are delighted to be back! ☀️

Our little ones learning not only to make a cup of tea but also enhancing their concentration skills, following a sequence of steps and strengthening their core muscles. Who knew so many skills were needed to enjoy a cuppa 😜

From birth through to early childhood, children use their senses to explore and learn. They do this by touching, tasting, smelling, seeing, moving and hearing. Children and even adults learn best and retain the most information when they engage their senses.
Our Montessori environment is a rich sensory environment where children are encouraged to explore while learning.
Also, everything is always FUN 🎉

Mondays are filled with concentration rich time. Here, one of our little bambinos is strengthening and developing her fine motor control. All our practical life activities develop a child’s independence and best of all she is having fun.

Our bike track is in! 🎉
The kids have loved it- thank you to all those that joined our fundraiser last year and helped contribute to getting the beautiful bike track.
Healthy living is something that our children need to experience to feel the benefits of.
Cycling not only improves cardiovascular fitness but also boosts muscle flexibility, development and overall strength.
We are so grateful that out children are enjoying the track while improving their overall health! 🚲

Nothing better than starting the year off with some Grace and Courtesy exercises. ☺️
