FAREWELL to Dr Alwyn Gladwyn Mwinga on her retirement. Dr Mwinga joined Zambart in 2013 as the first ever Chief Executive Officer of Zambart. Among her many invaluable contributions to Zambart, Dr Mwinga transformed Zambart from a project centred organisation into a full-fledged organisation with many studies being conducted, hence the name changed from Zambart project to Zambart. Over the years, she has immensely contributed to strengthening of the Zambart central support services to efficiently and effectively support the operations of Zambart’s core business, research activities. In recognition of her hard work, Dr Mwinga’s position changed to Executive Director. Zambart management congratulates Dr Mwinga for setting up the first ever Zambart Board of Directors to consolidate and strengthen the governance of the organisation. Under her leadership, between 2013 to 2023 Zambart and its staff received several awards of recognition, nationally and internationally. Dr Mwinga has also served Zambia as a medical doctor for over 20years, worked at the CDC and has sat on numerous medical and public health advisory boards.
Thank you, Dr Mwinga, from Zambart family. We wish you all the very best in your retirement. You have earned it!
