Thank you to all the educators that attended our recent ‘Starting a Kitchen Garden in Schools’ teacher professional development workshop.

Teachers spent the morning in beautiful Little Sprouts Kitchen Garden and the Goodman Lecture Theatre in the Adelaide Botanic Garden. Led by Botanical Educator Ian Wilson, educators explored some of the core concepts involved in starting a kitchen garden, including soil health, water and appropriate plants. Educators also received a copy of the Little Sprouts Educator Resource, packed with lesson ideas, plant knowledge and recipes.

We look forward to hosting a number of other teacher workshops, including more in a Kitchen Garden in Schools series, in 2021. In the meantime, see our What's On for adult-oriented learning, including a Kitchen Garden series https://www.botanicgardens.sa.gov.au/whats-on/Kitchen_Garden_workshops_2021
