Puberty Plus
Home of the Puberty Plus programs, developed by Bloom Wellbeing.
Our Well Girls and Being Boys programs provide puberty education and life skills support, specifically for people with disability and autism, and are developed by Occupational Therapists.
Weโre so excited to see the lovely Georgia and Hannah of run the first Puberty Plus program in Port Pirie!
We loved having these two in our practitioner training program earlier this year, they were both so engaged and had wonderful insights to share over the course of the training. It was also extra special having Georgia at the training as we previously hosted her at for her 4th year OT clinical placement!!
If youโre interested in the Port Pirie program, make sure to contact Thrive directly.

Do you have thoughts on the physical, social and financial impacts of menstruation and whether period poverty rates have risen since 2021?

We've been saying this for years!
This is part of the reason we recommend our program for young people aged 8 to 12 years old. Getting information and education to these kiddos before these changes start occurring can make a big difference to the way they manage and accept the puberty transition.
Discussions need to start so much earlier than they currently do!
With kids getting their periods as young as eight, do we need to talk about menstruation in schools sooner? Managing menstruation in public can be challenging at the best of times, but imagine being eight years old and having to deal with your period at school. Here's how teachers can make it easier.
Are you an Occupational Therapist or Allied Health Professional keen to expand on your knowledge to support your clients during their puberty years, or add the puberty education program as a service to you clinic?
