We’re on the hunt to add a DUTY MANAGER and an all-rounder (mainly bar) to our FOH team.

25-35hrs for the Duty Manager position, with responsibilities ranging from stock ordering, to running breaks and leading service etc. Must have relevant management/supervisor experience to apply for this role. ✔️

15-25hrs for the All-Rounder with main responsibilities shaking cocktails and pouring bevs behind the bar. Will need to assist FOH crew running and serving customers etc when needed. 🍻

As you can see from the headline, my wife and I have decided to sell Remy’s. The TLDR is down the bottom.

Prior to having a baby I had a drive to own a hospitality empire, and Remy’s was a big part of that. Being the first deep dish restaurant in Australia I knew the potential for multiple sites across multiple states was possible, not dissimilar to the success of the Milky Lane franchise. After all, there’s over 1000 deep dish restaurants across America and their trends usually become ours - and we’re the first to it.

But then my wife gave me a son and everything changed in an instance. My drive to expand far and wide shrunk, and I am now very clear on the fact i do not want to be a stereotypical hospitality dad who misses 10yrs of his kids lives because he was busy working. So one of the restaurants has to go, because my priorities have changed.

Remy’s is successful, completely self sufficient, fully staffed, and a has a large social media presence. I visit once a week to do banking and touch base with the staff. The rest of the day-to-day operations are autonomous.

I negotiated a long lease with very generous rent. Remys covers the entire rent and then there’s the venue downstairs that I half fit out waiting to be finished.

Downstairs is the bones of a bar/nightclub. I spent $50k preparing it during covid and then s**t hit the fan with insurers around dancing and I couldn’t get insurance. The insurance world has since normalised but I lost my mojo down stairs and couldn’t get it back, and remys was going fine without it.

I have financials prepared and ready to be viewed, as well as an interchangeable budget so you can see how much you could potentially pull out of the restaurant if you make certain changes.
