Hot days means lots of hydrating grass for the piggies and buns! Other great hydration snacks are watermelon or celery! Even better frozen for that extra cooling boost!

What are your animals favorite cooling foods for summer?!

Photos from Mochi and Co Rescue's post 18/02/2023

Chihiro was loving some fresh grass as a birthday treat on Valentine's day!

03/02/2023

Pirate would like to remind you that even short haired piggies need a good brush! It helps to loosen any dead fur and remove it making them much comfier! This is how much pirate sheds in-between his weekly brushes!

23/01/2023

Kagami just wanted to let everyone know that the hoomans are away from the 24th to the 2nd and will not be replying to messages during this time, but don't worry we are in good hands of a very nice stand in hooman who has spent lots of time learning about us,on top of that they are a vet tech so we are in great hands!

We would like to thank everyone for their continued support during this time ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ’œ

We have been featured by Guinea Pigs Australia in their rescue of the wheeek campaign which supports and promotes rescues all over Australia ๐Ÿ˜

๐ŸŒŸRESCUE OF THE WHEEEK! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿน Each week here at GPA we are highlighting a different Aussie rescue and the amazing work they do for our small critters in need. Any donations and support for our rescue organisations is always greatly appreciated, and saves so many little lives โค๏ธ

Mochi and Co Rescue started in late 2021 with the aim to help a variety of animals including neglected or abused animals, special needs animals and animals who can no longer stay with their family due to unfortunate circumstances. So far Mochi & Co has helped 7 rabbits and 15 guinea pigs all from our homebase located in South Australia.
The founder of Mochi & Co struggles with a rare disease called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which is why Mochi & Co's main focus is medically complex animals to provide them with appropriate medical care, accommodations to their environment and a place of sanctuary.

Currently Mochi and Co has 5 resident pigs all with some sort of illness or long term injury as well 5 rabbits who all have been rehabilitated and are ready for forever homes

Our mission is to not only provide animals with a new chance at life but also provide respite and palliative care to animals who are old, disabled or chronically ill.

17/01/2023

Something we do regularly with all animals in our care is ensure they get one on one time with their care humans! This is buffy enjoying a snuggle whilst having some fun in one of our extra play runs!

16/01/2023

We have an amazing happy home update! Buster has settled in amazingly with his new family ๐Ÿ’œ his favorite activities are cuddles and playing in his tunnel!

14/01/2023

Rhett was wondering if you had any snacks to share?!

Rhett and his buddy Link are on the search for their forever family!
Whilst shy at first both warm up with time and are lovely young lads!

12/01/2023

Loki is enjoying some wonderful treats from Mosuki Bunny Shop that were graciously donated over the holidays!

Everybody including Loki loves them and they work great as a bribe for fear free nail trims!

11/01/2023

Mama yoshi is a bit odd looking at the moment! This lady had to get a big haircut as due to her old age she not only struggles to groom herself but also struggles to stay cool even in air-conditioned spaces but no matter what we love her and she loves her hay!

(Please note it is only recommended to fully shave long haired cavys at the recommendation of a vet and should only be done if medically necessary. Otherwise upkeep such as trims and sanitary shaves should be performed as well as regular brushing!)
