After almost 5 years my own adventure as Bendigo’s Kangatrainer has come to an end . A big thank you to my past and present parents and supporters for sharing this journey with Archer and I.
My last class will be Saturday 28th October .
Kangatraining Australia will be taking over the socials at the end of the month.

The highlight of my week is often Friday mornings with Kangatraining.
The wonderful parents, the adorable babies and toddlers, the laughs and the connection with others are all part of the Kangatraining experience.
Kanga squats hit different.
Squats are a great functional everyday movement. We pick up kids, we pick up all the things all of the time from all of the floors.
In the post partum period narrow squats protect our pelvic floor and core from extra strain, which is why we love squats at Kanga.

Babies move, babies get hungry, babies cry and babies poo. Unlike conventional gyms, your baby is right with you at Kangatraining and you can stop at any time to meet their needs.

It’s so important to look after your physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing in the postnatal period. Kangatraining can help you to stay active and healthy along with many other benefits.
This is your sign to prioritize yourself for one hour a week.

There are many Return to Exercise programs for mum. How do you decide what is right for you? Here are some questions that your should ask.
🌸 When can I return to exercise?
Your body needs time to recover after a baby. 6 weeks for vaginal births and 12
weeks for C Sections is recommended.
🌸 Has the instructor had training in supporting the post natal body?
Our pelvic floor and core does so much work during pregnancy and needs special
attention and care post birth. Some exercises can be damaging to our bodies and
a trained postpartum instructor will keep you safe and help build you back up.
🌸 Does my instructor know about Dram and pelvic floor instability?
We don't all recover the same and your instructor should know about the
differences in our bodies after baby.
🌸 Will my instructor tailor my program to my unique needs?
We all have different levels of fitness and recovery and this should be catered for.
🌸 Is it safe to wear my baby?
Most postpartum programs are not designed for babywearing and if it involves
babywearing, is your instructor trained and insured in safe babywearing practices?
Kangatraining is for Saturday mornings.

4 years ago, Archer and I started our Kangatraining adventure with my friend and her baby Lily by our side. They are 3 weeks apart in age and next year they both head off to school.
Leaking when you cough, sneeze or laugh
Running to the toilet as soon as your keys hit the door
Doing the flamingo legs when you sneeze
Discomfort or pain during 😻

Way to many women after having babies experience Pelvic Floor dysfunction and although common, it is not normal.
Kangatraining is designed by midwives and women's health physiotherapist to help you recover your core and pelvic floor strength.
*we recommend that if you experience leaking, heaviness or discomfort in your pelvic floor you seek advice from a women's health physiotherapist.
Classes run on Fridays 11am and Saturdays 10.30am.
