Wednesday, 2nd March is Dr Seuss Day – when we specifically celebrate the wisdom and joy that Theodor Seuss Geisel (aka Dr Sueuss) shared with children through his frequently-read books. Like all authors, he wasn’t perfect and reflected some of the beliefs of his time, but for gifted students, I particularly valued this quote from Oh the Places You’ll Go!: “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.”
