LUKE BROWN - THE JOURNEY
This Saturday Luke Brown will play his 250th game for the Rams, in the home game agains Ringwood FC.
In a career that started in 2006, Luke has been the archetypical one club player. He was an ever present in his junior years playing in a team that tasted some success. He also played five games for Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC cup.His proudest moment came in 2012 when he captained the East Burwood Under 17 team that defeated Norwood FC 90-49 to claim a premiership for the Rams.
Browny made his senior debut in 2013 and has been a constant in the side over the last eleven years. He remained loyal during the tough times when the Rams dropped from Division One to Division Four between 2013 and 2018. In 2016 Luke was awarded the Colin Tainton medal as the club's best and fairest with a total of 123 votes.Luke has featured in the best players 51 times during his 250 game career.
Browny is a quiet achiever who simply gets the job done week after week, year after year. He personifies the Rams spirit, team first ethos and has demonstrated an unerring loyalty to the Rams on all occasions. He is always one of the first to volunteer and give something back to the club.
Congratulations Luke on the outstanding achievement of playing 250 games for the East Burwood Football Netball Club.
As a club we couldn’t be prouder to announce that Luke Brown or “Browny” as we know him will be playing his 250th game at the Rams this Saturday at home against Ringwood. Come on down and join in the celebrations and cheer on the boys.
