The Relic IV Station Necklace is a work of art, employing the ancient technique of lost-wax casting to create its four unique solid gold pendants. This traditional method, also known as cire perdue, begins with sculpting the intricate geometric designs of each pendant in wax. These wax models capture the essence of fragments of gilded pottery, complete with detailed embossing that hints at the artistry of ancient civilisations.

Once the wax models are perfected, they are encased in a durable ceramic shell, creating a mould. The wax is then melted and drained away, leaving behind a hollow cavity in the shape of the pendants. Molten gold is poured into these cavities, taking the exact form of the original wax models. After the metal sets and cools, the ceramic shell is carefully broken away to reveal the gold pendants, each imbued with the rich details and textures created by the designer.
