My name is Calvin and I am running for the upcoming by elections for the City of Darwin Council.
I am a young fresh face, who is ready to put our community first. I’m ready to push for a greener, cleaner, more sustainable city that relies on more renewable energies. I would like to make housing more affordable and extend on attractions we already have to build a more vibrant city for us all.
We would also like to review and explore options to upgrade Mindil beach and it’s amenities, including upgrading toilets, car parking and looking at permanent structures to protect from the weather.
Today I would like to talk about looking at Stuart Park and the roads entering the city, how we can review and improve the shopping experiences, support the local businesses and improve the road accesses. What are your thoughts?
Today I would like to discuss looking at improving the accessibility and inclusiveness of the City of Darwin, including community safety. Are our parks and playground accessible for children and adults of all abilities! I would like to see Darwin be one of Australia’s most inclusive Cities.
If elected I would like to continue to review and revitalize the Darwin CBD and the Parap and Mindil Markets.
