We have all heard of Christmas in July, but have you heard of Christmas at Avalon?! Our students have spent the past weeks learning about our Australian Christmas culture, and this week enjoyed all the festivities that comes with this special celebration.

Avalon College students enjoyed a glittering world of lights and snow at Winter Glow Adventure Park Geelong. A fun night of excitement had by all!

We are proud to share some great news with you. Our former student Zhu (Jiaxi) Calvin, who studied at Avalon College in 2018, achieved an outstanding score of 99.9 in VCE last year. The state government invited Calvin to attend the premier's VCE awards receiving the Top All-Round VCE High Achiever. Congratulations Calvin on this prestigious award!

Friday night fun at Mad Hatters Tea Party. Well done to our talented students for all your hard work and effort in art class making the occasion colourful and fun! What will the next event be....

From climbing the mountains at the You Yang's Regional Park to panning for gold at Sovereign Hill Ballarat. Students exploring and experiencing the native bushland and gold rush Australian history, all in one weekend.

Friday night fun, toasting marshmallows on the camp fire with a karaoke sing along.

Happy Easter long weekend! Easter Bunny did not disappoint this year with the annual Avalon College Easter Egg Hunt! Loads of chocolatey goodness hidden in and around the Avalon grounds made for the most fast and furious race to secure the sweet treats. Still plenty of time over the weekend to enjoy getting out and about to visit NGV Melbourne and a spot of minigolf. 🐰

Taking our students back to the Wild West, complete with a wild west themed dinner, decorations, dress up's, photo booth, outlaw games and line dancing.

The new pickle ball court, only one week in and already proving to be a big hit! 🎾😊

No better way to beat the weekend heat than to have a good old fashion water fight!

Pako Festa Parade, Waterfront picnic dinner, bingo, bowling and a birthday, all in a weekend at Avalon College.

Kicking off Lunar New Year, Year of the Dragon Friday night with Mrs Elakis's dumpling making class. A Parade with the fantastic giant Chinese Dragon, thanks to Ms Newman's art class. Singing, games, and photo booth fun with Ms Campion and Mr Paull. Getting amongst the action on Saturday in Melbourne's China Town. Hotpot dinner and Sunday a trip to the cinema.
