Silly Season is well and truly here. We're looking forward to a well earned rest by pausing our clinic days for January but will continue to ship orders between staycation adventures. The girls and I are looking forward to some rest days including biking to the beach and planning the next huge chapter for us all. A reminder to check in on loved ones you haven't heard from in a while and spread some seasonal love, remembering it's not an easy time for too many amongst us. Stay kind.

Sadly we've had a large fire in our much loved new office today. It started in a unit adjacent but the damage is significant and we're now unable to access until possibly the new year.

We're still taking orders into the new year but won't be taking payments until we can access our stock and send orders out. Please get in contact if you need Good Skin Support. Our consultants are still working remotely apart from public holidays.

Entirely and devastatingly unexpected as we have only just recently relocated all stock from our two locations into this lovely new location to continue to manage the developing covid and border implications.

UPDATE: Queensland will reinstate its toughest border restrictions for the Tweed and Byron Shires as of 1am tomorrow (Wednesday).

This is a return to prior arrangements which prohibited entry to teachers, childcare workers, hospitality workers, and tradies.

Anyone who has been in the Lismore local government area in the last 14 days will no longer be allowed into Queensland.

It comes after the city recorded a positive COVID-19 case overnight, prompting the NSW Government to introduce lockdown measures.

“Those currently in Queensland who have been in the Lismore area in the last 14 days should come forward, get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result," Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young said.

Stay-at-home orders come into force in Lismore at 6pm, Thursday (as will the stricter border restrictions).

According to Queensland Health, people from hotspots who need to access essential health care, comply with court orders, fulfill child custody arrangements, or endorsed specialist workers, are eligible for border exemptions.

Job description
Good Skin Clinic is a busy integrated dermatology practice servicing a broad range of clientele across two locations.

We are well known globally for our effective treatment of chronic skin conditions including psoriasis, eczema, acne rosacea and dermatitis.

Our Gold Coast Clinic currently operates on Wednesdays in shared professional offices. Located on Tallebudgera Creek Rd adjacent to the M1 we are directly above the Plantation House Café.

We seek a reliable and neatly presented trainee, willing to commit to growing their organisational and administrative skills and potentially launch their career in health administration.

The role will involve communication with people from a variety of backgrounds. This will include face to face, email, social and SMS platforms.

The successful applicant will be trained via scripts that will help to grow your understanding of our processes as well as your communication skills. It is expected the Trainee will learn our simple and intuitive data management systems to be able to use them to effectively manage client interactions so basic technology skills and confidence learning new skills will be required.

Prior to arrival clients are provided clear concise information regarding consultation processes by the Virtual Assistant (VA) team who are Australian based. Our offsite VAs currently manage our phone lines, provide client support, take orders and bookings and also provide additional support to the admin team.

The Trainee Administrative Assistant will be in contact with the VAs via phone, email and instant messaging to follow up the client interaction, book future appointments, finalise payments and fulfil client orders but will be well supported in the office.

The role is busy and varied. Duties will include
● Fulfilling client orders
● Diary management
● Collaborating with VAs and consultants
● Managing correspondence via email, social media and mail
● Liaising with clients and suppliers
● Data entry and management of sensitive data

We aim to provide a collaborative work environment that is personally rewarding and thus seek a reliable trainee with a mature attitude who is well presented and confident. We strive to foster an environment of strong support and continued growth.

We're back NSW! Well done! Now QLD has to lift their game and match the NSW numbers.

BREAKING NEWS: NSW-QLD BORDER UPDATE

From 1am, Monday 13 September, students and essential workers WILL be able to travel into QLD.

Essential shopping, healthcare and caring for someone will also be permitted reasons for travelling to QLD.

Essential workers include anyone who cannot work from home.

The 12 LGAs included are Tweed, Ballina, Byron, Moree Plains, Gwydir, Clarence Valley, Inverell, Glen Innes Severn Shire, Tenterfield, Kyogle, Richmond Valley and Lismore.

Anyone entering Queensland from those LGAs cannot have travelled into other locked down LGAs in the past 14 days.

People crossing the border for essential work will need to have had at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
