Join us this Saturday the 4th from 11am onwards, as our Head Roaster Josh shares our latest releases in a coffee cupping, in the new room at Villino on Criterion Street. Lots of fun things to taste, and all levels of coffee experience welcome!
New Feature Filter! We’re thrilled to introduce one of our new Colombian releases, the Pink Bourbon from Las Flores. Big, bright, citric acidity and a smooth pomegranate and stone fruit notes. The Villino crew is hitting the road and heading north to our friends at Parla. Loaded up with freshly landed coffees from around the globe, we’re excited to be sharing some incredible lots with the good people of Launceston.

It’s the first week of the month, which mean it’s Public Cupping time! We’ve got another special one this month, as are in town, and they’ve bought some special coffees to share. Join us out behind .coffee in our Roastery, tomorrow from 4:30pm. All welcome!
Our Las Flores new release double feature showcases an often-overlooked feature of coffee: Varietals! In the same way a Granny Smith differs significantly from a Red Delicious, there are many different varietals of coffee which affect flavours and acidity in cup.
This pair of Colombian coffees come from the same farm, and are both Washed process. The Pink Bourbon variety is delivering a lovely balanced citrus acidity, and a pomegranate sweetness, while the Tabi is bringing a bold cherry note and rich honey.

The leaves beginning to turn, and the air growing crisp herald the return of our beloved Autumn Espresso Blend! 🍁🍂 This year’s release is a blend of a washed Colombian coffee, and a Supernatural Nicaraguan coffee.
The Nicaraguan El Arbol lot brings rich apricot flavour and a malty finish, while the El Penol from Colombia cuts through with fresh and bright blackcurrant notes. Beautiful paired with milk to create a very fruit-forward beverage, or for those who like a punchy long black with plenty of funk.

‘Tis the season to be well-caffeinated, so schedule your Christmas coffee stock up! Our cafe will be closed on the public holidays, and trading as usual on all other days. Our Roastery will be closed from Friday the 22nd through till the 2nd of January, so dispatch of all online orders will be paused for next week.
Christmas shipping cut-off dates are fast approaching! We’ve put together this little guide to help you sneak in those final coffee orders for the year. If in doubt, ship early! Delays do happen, and we don’t want you to miss out 📦🚚
Our Roastery will be closed from next Friday 22nd of December til January 1st, so all online orders will be paused during this time. Our venues will be closed for all public holidays, but trading as normal outside of that for all of your beans, brews, and banter needs.

👉To start, add 50g of water to bloom
👉After 30 seconds, add an additional 100g water (to 150g total)
👉At 1min 30sec, add another 100g of water (250g total)
