It's been a busy week for our beeswax-rolled candles! It's a funny product as remember making these as a kid in the 90's. They really have stood the test of time. But when we make these the room fills with the most divine honey smell, so I can defiantly see why they are still so popular ๐Ÿ

One of my favourite customers is Airbnb owners. They radiate excitement when creating their unique spaces. With an Airbnb, there is no clutter, no kid's toys, no piles of never-ending dishes; it's just a creative space without any limits ๐Ÿ™Œ .

This week's subscriber email is all about what inspires me to create new products. Even though I could write a book on creating new products, it all comes down to you!
There is no point in creating a new product when nobody wants it. But one item I have been asked for time and time again is bath bombs. So check out the newest email on what troubles I had creating this new line and why it is so worth it!
There are so many new goodies coming out this month, it is a super exciting buzz around here. More product drops next week eeek!

Winter days in the soap room ๐ŸŒฟ
Soaps curing away and the sun slowly coming out.
Bars coming off the shelf this week are all of our popular scents! bars of Lavender + rosemary, lemongrass lime and of course cedarwood ๐Ÿ™Œ.

Creating a mission statement always seemed a bit cringe to me, but after thinking about why I do this business every day! It gave me the inspiration to the "why". I often talk to Australian suppliers and other business owners, and they are the heart of it all.

When I grow as a business they grow. It is so exciting to keep manufacturing here in Australia and especially in Tassie. We care about waste, the quality of our products and we care so much about our customers. It is so empowering.

Just a shout-out to some amazing businesses/ suppliers -

Fresh batches of our very popular Tasmanian botanical done and dusted! This candle is so fresh that it makes the whole house smell sea salt, rosemary and eucalyptus ๐ŸŒฟ
Available in our small and medium amber jars.

11/03/2024

Our collection of amber candles is getting smaller and smaller. This week we have said goodbye to Tassie berry and Island Green tea! The last to go is Lime bay. There are only a few jars left so this will be the last chance to catch this very popular sweet delicious scent.

We are making way for a whole new range of essential oil candles that are more true to our values of all-natural and earthy ๐ŸŒฟ

Have you ever noticed how hard it is to find actual natural fragrances? I found this when searching for a natural room spray. I love having a spray for the couch before vacuuming the couch, and a quick mist on our mattress before popping on fresh sheets. But the struggle is, that there are so many "fake fragrances" that claim they are of natural origins.
So I created our all-natural room sprays, made with natural sugar-based ethanol and essential oils. They are so divine, and the blends are our most popular soap blends!

Perfect for fur families and young children as they are chemical-free and delicious.
Now available in Mandarin & peppermint, Blue gum & sweet orange and Lemon myrtle and rose ๐ŸŒน

Fresh Tasmanian lavender and sage bars off the curing rack. Although our soaps are on the curing shelf for four weeks, they are at their peak scent when they come straight off the rack.

Tassie lavender is super earthy and sweet, it scents the space so nicely and smells incredible when used in a hot shower.

A few things have changed over the years. The first few soaps I ever made were very strange. One that haunts me still is a chocolate soap ๐Ÿคฃ for some unknown reason, I thought it would be great to smell like chocolate.

But the base of the recipe hasn't changed much. With Olive oil, cocoa butter and plant-based oils it has always been a nourishing blend of oils, that gives back to the skin moisturiser, rather than strips.

And after the experimental stage "chocolate soap" I swore I would only scent my soap with essential oils, so I could sleep at night ๐Ÿคฃ

Did you know you can now get our natural soaps straight to your door every month? We have now introduced soap subscriptions!
If you are forever running out of your favourite scents you can simply choose a monthly subscription or even better, once a month receive three different bars for only $22.80 with the mixed selection.
As a perk, I want to throw in a freebie with every sub!

One of the most underrated soaps is our Tassie beer soap!
A beautiful blend of hops, cedarwood and a light sweet hint of lavender.
It is honestly one of the most subtly smooth, and creamy scents.

What does beer do to soap though? The natural sugars create the most stunning bubbly soap, that cleanses with our stripping your natural oils.

Pure olive oil, pure traditional goodness!
Handmade soap was originally made with animal fat, but the Italians had the right idea of making pure olive oil soap.
Super nourishing and hydrating soap that lasts so long.
Great for sensitive skin!

One product that I originally just made for our family is the Laundry bar! I have been making it for years, as I was just over buying products that never really worked.

I never thought it was good enough, because I know how annoying it is to scrub clothing. But honestly, it does not take much to remove the most horrible stains that commercial products struggle with!
Such as chocolate ice cream, tradies clothing and oil stains are no worries for the natural Laundry bar. Also, there is a plastic tub at the end! win, win.

It is funny how the smallest product can be one of the most popular!
Our lip balms are filled with nourishing sweet almond oil, shea butter, olive oil and Tasmanian beeswax.
And if you are anything like me, you can never have to many lip balms ๐Ÿ™Œ

For the ones who are on the fence about Lavender, this is a scent for you ๐Ÿ™Œ.

I love this candle for a funny reason. I will see people go up to the counter at markets and say " oh no lavender" then proceed to pick up the candle and smell it ๐Ÿคฃ ( this is why I love markets).

But every time people will go oowww.. that's nice.
I didn't want to create a classic lavender candle because it's already been done, our blend of French lavender, bergamot, vanilla and white cedar, gives a slightly sweet take on an already popular scent.

This is where we need โ€˜smell camโ€™!

The scent that greeted me upon opening this box from .native.products, took me out to the garden and beyond to the bushโ€ฆ

Thereโ€™s a Gardenerโ€™s gift box, candles, lip balm, hand balm & soap.

Normally, I just take the scrap pieces of soap for my own use. But this Blue gum scent is so divine, that I've now taken a whole bar for myself.
Blue gum is distinctively Australian bush with a sweet tone and a woody undertone. It does smell quite different from classic Eucalyptus which generally smells quite strong.

This blend will definitely become a favourite ๐ŸŒฟ

We get so excited for Christmas at home, my girls are still really young and the days are counted down from the start of November.
One thing I really love is bringing out the Decorations for the tree. Every time there are all these random decorations made from daycare and school over the years that remind me how much they have grown.

But one other thing I have been conscious of over the years is avoiding more plastic decorations. As the store brought decorations break over the years, I don't replace them with more. Finding more sustainable Christmas decorations such as pine cones from the tree, and now beeswax pine cones that won't go into landfill just because we love decorating ๐ŸŽ„

Thank you everyone for all your amazing orders leading up to Christmas!. If you haven't ordered your soapy goodness online of late here's some great places to stop in and support two Tassie businesses in one.

Fathers day gift shop is now live ๐Ÿ™Œ.
Dads never think of them selfs when it comes to skincare or self care. So it's up to us to make sure they care for them selfs โค๏ธ

Scrub soap for tradies, Tasmanian myrtle soap dishes and gift sets that they are sure to love.

Getting everything prepared for the lads this Father's Day ๐Ÿ™Œ.
Bars of their favorites- Mountain Man, Tassie beer, and Lemon Scrub all coming off the curing rack this week ๐Ÿ˜

Sensitive skin, eczema, psoriasis, and dry aging skin can all come down to routine when it comes to caring for any one of these skin conditions.
It's so easy to swap and change up products just to try a new scent! (I know because I have also fallen for this trap ๐Ÿ˜….)

When it comes to caring for your skin and switching it up, keep it simple, and if you can, keep it all natural ๐Ÿ™Œ

Photos from Bee native products's post 06/08/2023

On the making list this week! Lip balms, 150 hundred of them to be exact ๐Ÿ˜….
Our balms are filled with the most simple natural ingredients including locally sourced beeswax.
The colour of the wax changes with the seasons, and this batch is such a stunning golden yellow, I almost don't want to use it ๐Ÿ˜

I create soap for a variety of people, but making soap for gardeners is my favorite.

Knowing all too well about the trips down to the shop with mud stuck in my nails and permanently toned fingerprints.
The main feedback I get in particular is our scrub poppy soap and Kunzea hand balm, as they work together to lift dirt and renew working hands.

So now just for you gardeners, you can give back to yourself before spring begins!

It might be cold outside! but the morning light is warming up these freshly cut bars of Mountain Man ๐ŸŒฟ. It's such a stunning blend of pine and cedarwood, that it's reminding me to go for a walk even if it's raining.

Photos from Bee native products's post 19/07/2023

Everyday soaps are far from everyday โค๏ธ.

Since the success of our soap seconds I wanted to create a simple fuss free soap bar for people who love naturals soap.

These soaps are still with our normal formula of olive oil, coconut oil, essential oils and clays. Just smaller and without a label ๐Ÿ‘Œ

18/07/2023

Peppermint and wildflower is one of main favourites when it comes to market days!
When people get a chance to smell peppermint soap, they fall in love instantly.

Super fresh and perfect for that morning wake up.

Photos from Bee native products's post 17/07/2023

I usually give a few of these away beacause honestly, they are just such a great way to get most out of your handmade bars!
If you find you have a few bits and pieces of soap, just pop them in these bags and keep on scrubbing.

That are made out of sisal, so they are also plastic free and biodrageable โค๏ธ

With winter in full swing now is a great time to switch up your beauty routine!

Being inside more with the heater blaring away, our skin cops it, big time. Heat pumps are especially notorious for drying skin.
A great way to give back to our skin is by switching up our products.

Use a thicker more concentrated moisturizer, regularly use a hydrating soap such as our lemon oat! and one great tip I've heard recently is placing an open jug of water in front of the heater or fireplace to create more moisture in the air.

What's something you look forward to over winter? Mine is defiantly soups! ๐Ÿ˜
