Ice bath and sauna at our local

If jumping in 🥶 0.5 degree water in the morning doesn’t wake you up nothing will. As part of my healing and recovery for my disc injury I have found saunas and ice baths to be incredibly beneficial. They do multiple things with one of the key aspects for me being the reduction in inflammation. On top of that the ice bath itself is a great way to stimulate the vagus nerve and kick your nervous system out of the fight and flight stage back in to the rest and digest state where all of the healing happens.

If you are looking for a way to reset after a busy week or looking for something to help with recovery then saunas and ice baths work amazingly well in combination with other therpapies such as chiropractic care.

Because of its relation to the spine and nervous system. Posture acts as window into the health of the spine and when we start to loose that postural strength we start to encounter both structural and functional issue.

These issues can range from things such as increased levels of pain and inflation alongside a loss of movement/ flexibility all the way to things like altered stress responses and poor cardiovascular health.
