In 2 weeks myself and Dani Addicted To Soul Energy Healing will be facilitating a beautiful sacred base chakra workshop. And I'm excited to begin setting the intention for this sacred honouring ❤️

- when we work with the base, we are honouring Gaia; mother earth 🌍 and our sacred connection to the beautiful life giving force that sustains us - she provides us with beauty, joy and a remembrance that we are both spiritual and physical in nature when we connect deeply with the sacred earth. ✨

If we ever are feeling unsupported in the physical world we can come back to the 'mother of life' who sustains and nurtures us - fresh water to drink, clean air to breathe, food to nourish us. 🏔️ 🌄

If we ever feel like we are on shaky grounds, she is here to remind us to remember our roots in this earth; our solidness, stability. 🌲

If we are feeling exhausted and tired, she reminds us to slow down and rest; she represents the cycles and rhythm of life; of change and renewal. 🌙

In this workshop we invite Goddess Kali to dance with us.

She is the Goddess of liberation and revolution;

She reminds us of the fierce courage and determination that is sometimes needed when we must let go of what is old/come to an end/not serving us so we can welcome and step into new beginnings. 🦅

She is strong willed and powerful; inviting us to break the chains of the past or whatever binds and keeps us stuck (to old stories, patterns, relationships, situations) to consciously create space for a new foundation to be built. 🧱

Lovely to share the wisdom, the fun, the love, the ideas, the organisation and the load (even the set up) together + we even get to relax, close our eyes for a bit, and go on that chakra journey ourselves for a while.

I've been reading Ikigai - the Japanese secret to a long and happy life and I love reading some of the personal stories and quotes shared..this one really resonated with me: how often when I feel an ache or pain, do I go straight into worry, fear and anxiety, all the what ifs...this reminded me that regardless of what's happening, it's all okay. Fear and worry will most certainly get in the way of simply being able to carry on!

As we start the new year, we often begin to create more goals, more things to do or achieve and yet maybe a new year is a great time to stop, let go or simply get rid of some things, habits, relationships no longer needed or serving us e.g less time on social media! It might be a great time to offload and begin the year lighter, with more space and time! Doing less rather than more!

“Listen” says your body, “I have important things to tell you.”. ✨

It can be easy to neglect our bodies and not give them much thought, as they tick along day in, day out.

We may have a passive relationship with them e.g we only act or react when we have to and yet taking care of our bodies is an active choice (not doing anything is also a choice).

Just like anything, it requires some time, love, care and effort (if we do it regularly enough it becomes less of an effort and more of a habit!)...

If we were to neglect our homes they'd fall apart, if we forgot to service our cars eventually they'd break down.

In our modern world focused on economics and technology more so than our health and wellbeing, means we need to point the compass more strongly in this direction to create spaces and time to nurture our bodies.

In a world where we spend more time in sedentary jobs we need to create opportunities to move and in a world focused on external mental stimulation through devices, we need to create our moments of pause and body connection.

So, what if you could be more fully present in your body?

If you could trust your instincts and listen to the wisdom your body holds?

I'm at the end of a 9 week journey facilitating a sacred women's circle with 8 beautiful women.

It is like medicine for my soul, as it is for other women.

With permission and acknowledgement, I am sharing this beautiful heartfelt poetry, shared with the group.

Recently reflecting on a poem written 8 years ago, and then re-visited for a second iteration. Keeping its original essence she has weaved in her growth and transformation; of what she'd been seeking in others, she has found and able to give fully to herself.

To have " morphed from victim into my own power”.
A reminder that we are everything!

The Willow Tree

The willow tree weeps
As she's swaying to please.
She's learned how to dodge
Your backhanded breeze.

Acid rain clouds spit on her
While the sun scorches her leaves
And the Wind tousles her tendrils
On all fronts they torment and tease.

She was once your shelter
Even though she’s invisible now.
Not worthy of your kindness
For strangers you allow.

You punctured her soul with glares
And drained all her life in tears.
A usurper to the infrastructure
She paid a high price for your fears.

Still, You planted your feet in her soil
And sucked dry all of her shade.
You truncated her spine to be small, until
Acquiescence to felling was made.

She raised a last branch
For what wrong had she done?
With the threats You accuse her
Of stealing your sun?

And when she was mocked
She simply crumbled in two.
For she could not believe
She was broken - by You.

Senseless of your intentions
From a reflection of stone
Starved in protest of due process
You ringbarked her to bone.
She flailed to catch herself falling

But even her roots betrayed trust.
Once a giant now reduced to shadows
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

Laying timelessly untethering
Grief dishevelled any shame
And was a Source of relief
For too much blame.

From scarcity of need
To an abundance from within.
Drop by drop gifted from above
An ocean raised to cleanse the sin.
Filtered deep down to her foundations
Once battered and blue.
Backfilled from piece to peace
To fulfil the giant within - without You.
