Thai Black Tarantula // Haplopelma minax

Opportunistic carnivores, Thai Black Tarantulas will sit outside their burrow at night waiting for unsuspecting prey to pass by.

They move fast and are known to be quite aggressive. Eating birds, lizards, frogs, and insects, their venom is strong enough to kill birds and small mammals.

Giant Leaf Insect // Pulchriphyllium giganteum

This species exhibits extraordinary camouflage. As its name suggests, it has evolved to blend in with the leaves of the trees in which it lives.

They are most commonly located in Western tropical rainforests of Malaysia.

Atlas Moth // Atticus atlas
Originating from Asia, Atlas Moths have the biggest wing surface area of any known insect and are also among those with the largest wingspan (25cm on average). This makes them one of the largest moths on the planet.

The adult lifespan of the Atlas Moth is quite short. Once the moth opens its wings, it will live for only 1-2 weeks. During this time they rely entirely on fat reserves accumulated during its larval stage.
