This delicacy with deep roots through history where it was said to be discovered about 600 years ago. While its bold, translucent exterior may surprise you, the rich, creamy flavour is a true culinary experience.

What would a Latin event be without the team from Senor Gusto joining us at the Market 😀 🚚

Having first attended the event at the Market in 2022 the team serves up some of the most exciting Latin food in all of Melbourne.

Original from El Salvador, Rigo and his team - consisting of close family and friends -have a love for connecting with communities through food.

And the menu? It's as fun, bold and flavourful as you'd expect. 💃

From their famous birria tacos, filled with generous amounts of meat and cheese, to the quesadillas and asado 🌮 these guys know how to celebrate their food culture.

What to try something different? Order the tamales 😍 While the exact fillings differ among regions, tamales are generally made of corn dough (masa) wrapped in either banana leaf or corn husk - little parcels of deliciousness! 🌽

We'd also recommend the pupusas - the national dish of El Salvador! 🇸🇻

This father-daughter team brings heart, soul, and a whole lot of flavour to to this Market Square stall, from steaming soups and noodles to the iconic banh mi. As you can see their family bond is as heartwarming as their food is delicious 🥰

Trila says the best thing about the market is its long history, and getting to know his customers, many of who he serves up special dishes that bring them back time and time again.

As we prepare for the Latin fiesta of the year, join Tim as he discovers some of the bold, mouth-watering flavours at Cafe Valentina - and gets a few words not so right.... 😅

Some of you think our $50 grocery challenge videos are a load of carp 😅🙈Well, we checked in with Jess at Schwarze Seafood to hear it directly from one of our fishmongers themselves..

Once again we found some great value fish, suitable for a variety of dishes and tastes!

Remember, prices are always fluctuating, but Dandenong Market really does offers some great value you won't find at the supermarket.

We had a chat with the team at Melina's Bakery & Larder to hear more about the delicious range they bake fresh every day.
